Our Rowland will be missed. He was so dedicated to the church for decades. Our heart goes out to Mary.
Rowland Miles Sinnamon, 82, a beloved husband, friend, and cherished member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church, passed away on April 7, 2026. Known for his unwavering faith, dedication to service, and devotion to his wife, Rowland's legacy is a testament to the life he led and the people he touched. He was a beacon of kindness, always extending a helping hand to those in need and serving as a true steward of God.
Born and raised an Episcopalian, Rowland was a pillar of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, serving faithfully on its vestry and altar. His dedication to his church was an embodiment of the verse, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). Outside the church, Rowland found joy in square dancing with his wife and friends and embarking on exciting travels. Rowland also enjoyed singing in the Battenkill Chorale and served his country proudly in the United States Army, stationed in Korea.
Rowland taught Math for several years before becoming a successful businessman, owning and operating Sinnamon Sewing Machine Service and becoming a top salesman for the Swiss-made Berina Sewing Machine. His hard work and dedication even earned him a trip to Switzerland, a memory he cherished dearly.
What mattered most to Rowland was his wife, Mary, and his devotion to his church family. His life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and service, and he leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
Rowland Sinnamon is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary (Kehm) Sinnamon; niece Sarah Tice; nephew, Jody Kehm; brothers-in-law, Joseph and John Kehm as well as his St. Paul's Episcopal Church family.
He was predeceased by his parents Lynwood and Emma (Staley) Sinnamon and brother, Lynwood Sinnamon Jr.
