Lightkeepers’ Youth Ministry 2026 Summer FUN Trip
From the moment the Lightkeepers loaded onto the legendary Exodus bus, the 2026 Summer FUN Trip officially became part youth ministry retreat, part theme park marathon, and part “Lord, give me strength” survival documentary. Caleb, Kolbe, Joseph, Ayden, Brady, Clara, Scotlyn, Sophia, Isabel, and Natalie conquered coasters, ate like Olympic athletes in training, laughed and screamed until voices were gone, bodies were tired, and somehow still found energy for late-night snacks, swimming, games, and deep discussions about life choices. Mrs. Amy did her best to keep the ship sailing, even when sunburns, rain, long lines, and the back seats of the bus turning into a fiery furnace on wheels tried to take us all down.
Our brave chaperones, Daniel, Mary-Hannah, and Father Jason, helped lead the Lightkeepers — also known as “The Brady’s Bunch” — through every wild adventure from Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Epic Universe to SeaWorld, pirate shows, and the unforgettable 14-hour ride home with every window down like we were airing out a livestock trailer on the interstate. At times, it felt less like a bus ride and more like the Israelites wandering through the desert, except instead of manna, we had McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, snacks, and questionable gas station food. The kids bonded, prayed, laughed, screamed on rides, and learned two very important life lessons: eating at McDonald’s once a day for a solid week is not a long-term wellness plan, and if you don’t get at least one noise complaint, did you even go on a youth trip? This trip was loud, hilarious, exhausting, slightly unhinged, and absolutely blessed —
Mrs. Amy officially signing off until our next adventure.
