As the United States celebrates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints wrote a letter inviting all to participate in a unified fast.

The First Presidency invited Saints in the United States to fast in gratitude for religious liberty on July 5, 2026, as part of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

The Wilson 1st Ward made a little history today. They have called a new Sunday school presidency, consisting of Sisters, which is the first in the stake. Pictured from left to right we have:
Sister Mary Helen Schaubhuth Sunday school second counselor, Sister Barbra Hansen Sunday School President, Sister Joanne Hagan Sunday School first counselor, and Sister Jaquie Thompson as the Sunday School Secretary.
