Midweek Equip is happening tonight, and there’s plenty happening across the HopePointe family! 🙌

For our students, the “For Him” series is challenging them through Colossians 3:17 to consider what it looks like to live every part of our lives for Jesus. For our kids, “Seeds & Sparks” brings together worship, games, crafts, and a small snack as they learn and grow in their faith.

For adults, Midweek Equip provides space to gather with others, engage in meaningful conversation, and grow deeper in our faith together. It’s a chance to step out of the week’s routine and make room for spiritual growth and community.

Doors open at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall at Waggoner Gym—bring dinner and hang out with us before groups begin at 6:30 PM. Whether you’re bringing the whole family or coming on your own, there’s a place for you tonight!

Grace is never meant to stop with us.

In 2 Corinthians 8, Paul points to the Macedonian churches as an example of people who had experienced God’s grace—and that grace overflowed into generosity, even in the midst of their own difficulty.

“The God who gives graciously forms people who live generously.”

Paul ultimately points us to Jesus, who “though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.”

We give, serve, and show compassion not because we’re trying to earn God’s favor, but because we have already received His grace.

God’s grace has reached us.

The question is: where does God desire His grace to go through us?

What has God entrusted to you—your time, resources, abilities, possessions, or relationships—that could become an expression of His compassion in someone else’s life this week?

How are you resting today?

Labor Day gives us an opportunity to pause from our work and responsibilities, but Scripture reminds us that true rest is found in God. We can enjoy a day off, slow down, spend time with family, or simply catch our breath—but ultimately, our souls find their rest in the presence of the One who made us.

As you rest today, take a moment to remember where your deepest rest comes from. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Please note: The HopePointe Church Office and HopePointe Learning Center will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

However you spend today, may it be a reminder to rest in God and trust Him with what we carry.

Happy Labor Day!

Sundays are better together.

Every week, we gather at HopePointe to worship, hear God's Word, share life together, and be reminded of the hope we have in Christ.

Tomorrow, we’ll continue our Rooted: The Values That Shape Us series as we focus on one of our core values: Compassion. Through 2 Corinthians 8:7-9, we’ll be reminded of the self-giving love of Jesus and what it looks like for that love to shape the way we care for others.

Whether you're already part of the HopePointe family or you're looking for a church to call home, we'd love for you to join us.

Week four of Rooted begins this Sunday!

As we continue exploring the values that shape who we are at HopePointe, this week we’ll turn our attention to one of our core values: Compassion.

Our text is 2 Corinthians 8:7-9, where Paul points us toward the generosity of Jesus and the self-giving love that is at the heart of the gospel.

Compassion is more than simply noticing that someone is hurting. It’s allowing the love of Christ to move us toward others with generosity, mercy, and action.

As we continue Rooted: The Values That Shape Us, we’ll be challenged to consider what it looks like for the compassion we have received from Christ to become compassion we extend to others.

Join us this Sunday as we worship together and continue discovering what it means to be rooted in hope and formed in the love of Christ.

We’d love to worship with you.

🏀📣 HopePointe Sports is back for a new season!

Young athletes ages 4–11, of all skill levels, are invited to join us for the 2026–2027 season of HopePointe Basketball and our brand-new Cheer League!

HopePointe Basketball, powered by Upward, helps kids grow in their basketball skills while developing teamwork, building a healthy competitive spirit, and learning strong Christlike values—all in a family-friendly environment.

And this year, we’re excited to introduce our Cheer League! Young cheerleaders will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of cheer, build confidence, and be part of the energy and excitement of game days alongside our basketball players.

With our renovated gym and brand-new gym floor, we’re excited to welcome another season of athletes and families to the HopePointe campus.

What if we stopped waiting to know the question before giving God our answer?

In 1 Thessalonians 5, Paul reminds us that transformation is ultimately God’s work in us. We are called to wholehearted devotion, but we don’t have to manufacture holiness through our own strength.

“The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.”

We can trust Jesus with our “yes” because He is faithful.

Sometimes surrender means trusting God before we know what He will ask of us. It means releasing our need for control and believing that the One who calls us will also faithfully lead us, shape us, and transform us.

So this week, consider:

Is there an area of your life where you’re willing to follow Jesus—as long as you know where He’s leading?

What would it look like to simply give Him your “yes”?
