What does the glory of God reveal about His heart?

This Sunday, we continue week five of The God Plot: Living with Holy Imagination as Pastor David leads us through Exodus 33:18-19 and 34:5-9.

When Moses asked God to show him His glory, God revealed something remarkable. His glory wasn't simply displayed through power or majesty, but through His very character—a God who is compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in love and faithfulness.

Throughout this series, we've been exploring what it means to be a people made wholly His. This week, we'll discover how God's presence and character reveal His holiness and how we are called to reflect that same character to the world around us.

This Sunday will also be a special time of worship as we observe All Saints' Day together. We'll sing some of the songs of the saints with a bluegrass flavor and take time to remember and give thanks for the lives of those within our HopePointe family who have passed away over the past year.

As we remember their lives and the faithfulness of God across generations, we're reminded that the same God who revealed His glory to Moses continues to make His presence and character known among His people today.

We're continuing our Pastor Appreciation Month spotlights by introducing you to someone who helps give voice to our worship and share the story of what God is doing throughout the HopePointe family—our Worship & Communications Pastor, Andrew Campbell!

Whether he's leading our congregation in worship, investing in the musicians and volunteers who serve each week, or helping communicate the mission and ministry of HopePointe throughout the Upstate, Pastor Andrew brings a passion for helping people encounter the transforming love of Christ.

We're grateful for his heart for worship, his commitment to developing others in ministry, and the creativity and intentionality he brings to helping our church tell the story of God's faithfulness. From the songs we sing on Sunday to the ways we stay connected throughout the week, his ministry helps remind us that worship extends far beyond the walls of the sanctuary.

But there's plenty more to Pastor Andrew than what you see on Sunday mornings! From his love of CrossFit and all things dessert to his surprisingly diverse musical tastes and a couple of pretty unique experiences with some familiar names in Christian music, check out the graphic to learn a little more about him!

Faith isn't formed in a single moment. It's shaped through the everyday rhythms of following Jesus, learning His Word, and walking alongside others. That's why Wednesday nights matter at HopePointe!

Midweek Equip is an opportunity to step away from the busyness of the week and intentionally make room for spiritual growth and meaningful community. Our adults gather for Bible study and conversation, HopePointe Students continue exploring what it means to live "For Him" through Colossians 3:17, and HopePointe Kids are learning how God molds and shapes us to become more like Christ through their "In the Kitchen" series at Seeds & Sparks.

And don't forget, the evening begins before groups even start! Doors open at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall at Waggoner Gym. Bring your dinner, pull up a chair, and enjoy some time connecting with the HopePointe family before groups for all ages begin at 6:30 PM.

Whether you've been with us every week or haven't made it in a while, there's always room to jump back in. We can't wait to see you tonight!

“God’s Word reveals where our hearts have wandered, and calls us home.”

This past Sunday, we continued The God Plot: Living with Holy Imagination as Pastor David led us through Deuteronomy 30 and the story of King Josiah in 2 Kings 22–23.

When Josiah heard the words of God's Law, he recognized how far God's people had wandered from the life they were called to live. But his response wasn't simply to try harder or make a few adjustments to their behavior. He humbled himself before God and led the people in renewing their covenant with Him.

And that's where we discover the beautiful promise of God's grace.

The same God whose Word reveals where we've wandered is the God who invites us to return. He doesn't simply call us to change our outward behavior; He promises to do a transforming work within our hearts, reshaping our desires, renewing our minds, and teaching us to love Him with our whole lives.

This is the heart of holiness. Not a life sustained by our own determination to do better, but a life continually surrendered to the faithful God who is making us wholly His.

Revival begins when we return to the God who changes us from within.

So here's a prayer to carry into this week: “Lord, write Your ways upon my heart.”

We're continuing our Pastor Appreciation Month spotlights by introducing you to someone who brings plenty of creativity, energy, and heart to the HopePointe family—our Children's Pastor, Thelma Edwards!

Whether she's helping our youngest generations discover the love of Jesus, creating meaningful opportunities for families to grow in faith together, or finding creative ways to make discipleship come alive, Pastor Thelma brings a passion for helping children know that they are loved, valued, and an important part of the Church.

We're grateful for her creativity, her heart for children and families, and the ways she helps HopePointe Kids grow into a generation rooted in hope and formed in love.

There's a place for YOU at HopePointe this Sunday!

What does it look like to return to God and allow Him to transform us from the inside out?

This Sunday, we continue week four of The God Plot: Living with Holy Imagination as Pastor David leads us through Deuteronomy 30:1-10, the story of King Josiah in 2 Kings 22–23, and Romans 12:1-2.

Throughout Scripture, we encounter a faithful God who continually invites His people to return to Him. His mercy opens the way home, and His grace does more than change our outward behavior—it renews our hearts and transforms the way we live.

What does it really mean to experience revival?

When we hear the word "revival," we might think of a powerful worship service, an emotional moment, or a renewed commitment to do better. But what if genuine revival begins somewhere much deeper?

This Sunday, we continue The God Plot: Living with Holy Imagination as Pastor David leads us through Deuteronomy 30:1-10, the story of King Josiah in 2 Kings 22–23, and Romans 12:1-2.

Throughout Scripture, we discover a faithful God who continually calls His people to return to Him. His Word reveals where we've wandered, His mercy opens the way home, and His grace does more than change our outward behavior—it transforms us from within.

Holiness isn't simply about trying harder to live differently. It's about surrendering our whole selves to the God who faithfully renews our minds, reorders our loves, and shapes us into the people He has called us to be.

Pastor Appreciation Month | Meet Pastor Andy!

We're continuing our Pastor Appreciation Month spotlights by introducing you to someone who brings plenty of energy, enthusiasm, and a heart for the next generation to the HopePointe family—our Youth & Sports Pastor, Andy Barnette!

Whether he's investing in the lives of our HopePointe Students, creating opportunities for kids and families to connect through HopePointe Sports, or helping young people discover what it means to follow Jesus, Pastor Andy brings a passion for seeing the next generation grow in their faith.

We're grateful for his 23 years of faithful ministry, his commitment to discipling students, and the countless ways he helps young people build relationships, discover their gifts, and experience the transforming love of Christ. And we're especially thankful for the way he faithfully leads our church family in prayer (when we can get him back from all those student events!).

But there's plenty more to Pastor Andy than what you see around HopePointe!
