☀️ Wake up!

What a joy it was to hear from some of our campers today about how God moved in their lives at camp!

Please pray, as days and weeks come between our campers and counselors and their time at camp, they would continue to be reminded of the truths they learned at camp, and continue to grow in Him.

If you see a camper, be sure to ask them about their time at camp!

We will gather at 10:15 Sunday morning for a joint service to hear what God did in the lives of our students and children at Camp Cheraw!

If you attended camp (student, child, or counselor), make sure to wear your main camp shirt and sit as a group, front and center!

Our Jr. Week campers have arrived, settled in their cabins, participated in a camp-wide scavenger hunt to learn the campus, and are currently in their first worship session of the week!

Tuesday was all about casting off darkness, but Wednesday was all about stepping into the light. Why must we do that? Because we belong to God - we are His chosen people!

Tuesday our students were challenged to...

-cast off darkness... Darkness = sin. Sin is a choice and sin separates us from God.

-clothe themselves... Repent, turn away from the dark things, change your mind and actions toward God.

Throw in Olympic games, talent show, Sno cones, and a whole lot of fun! It was a cooler morning which was much appreciated!

A glimpse into the first day at Cheraw!

Olympics teams, crafts, and awesome time in the Word!

Sunday night started off with a wake up call from Roman 13: 11 - "This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up."

Our students were challenged to figure out which category they're in and how they need to wake up:

1. Wake up! And get saved, because you don’t have a relationship with Jesus
2. Wake up! Stop sleepwalking and going through the motions lifelessly.
3. Wake up! You’ve drifted, come back to Jesus.
4. Wake up! Call others to wake up, let God use you to take this message out.

Monday we looked at the urgency from Paul in Romans 13:11-12 and that we need to start following Jesus, living for Jesus, and sharing Jesus TODAY.

Our Sr. Week students hit the road after church today and arrived just a little while ago!

We can't wait to hear how God moves this week!

Day 7 of Prayer for Camp Cheraw:

We are so thankful for the opportunity to get away, study His Word, spend time with friends, and make incredible memories! But above all, we want to see God's will done in the lives of our students and children through Camp Cheraw, and in the weeks and months to follow.

Thank you for praying with us this week! We ask that you continue to pray for our team, many of whom leave today and tomorrow (some hit the road earlier this week!). Our students will leave Sunday afternoon (and return Friday), and our children leave next Sunday (returning the following Thursday).

It's a busy few weeks but we're expecting God to move in a mighty way!

Day 6 of Prayer for Camp Cheraw:

In 2 Peter 3:18, Peter is urging readers to grow in two specific areas: grace and the knowledge of Jesus.

As our students and children hear and learn truths, we pray that this fuels a desire to know Christ more!
