With heavy hearts, the Saint Matthew United Methodist Church–Taylors family extends our deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to our Pastor, Rev. James Drummond, Jr., and his family on the passing of his beloved father, Mr. James Drummond.
During this time of loss, we pray that Pastor and Mrs. Drummond and their family find comfort in God's unfailing love, strength in His promises, and peace in the cherished memories they shared with Mr. Drummond.
As a church family, we stand with Pastor Drummond in prayer and support, trusting in the words of Scripture:
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18

Great news for those needing vision and dental care!

We’re proud to serve our community alongside Remote Area Medical (RAM) at the FREE Medical, Vision, and Dental Clinic on February 14–15, 2026 at the USC School of Medicine in Greenville.

🦷 Precision Dental will be providing FREE dental services, including:
• Cleanings
• Fillings
• Extractions

What to bring:
• Food and water
• Any medications you take
• Patience — services are first-come, first-served

What to wear:
• Warm, comfortable clothing (especially if arriving early)
• Comfortable shoes

✔️ No ID required
⚠️ Dental and vision services are limited and fill quickly—arrive early.

Beloved Saint Matthew Family,

Due to continued winter weather and out of concern for the safety of our congregation, all church activities and worship services are canceled for Saturday and Sunday, January 31, and February 1, 2026. This marks the second weekend we have been physically apart because of the weather. While we deeply miss gathering in the sanctuary, we are reminded that the church is not confined to a building.

Though snow may keep us physically separated, it cannot interrupt our fellowship, our faith, or God’s abiding presence among us. We encourage you to take time to pray, read scripture, and worship from wherever you are, knowing that we remain united in spirit and love.

Please continue to stay safe, warm, and mindful of one another. We look forward with hope to worshiping together again very soon.

Due to the impending inclement weather forecasted for our area, all worship services and church activities at Saint Matthew United Methodist Church–Taylors are cancelled for Saturday and Sunday, January 24-25, 2026. This decision has been made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of our congregation and community.

We encourage everyone to remain safe, stay warm, and take all necessary precautions during this time. Please continue to keep one another in prayer.
