❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥God Hates These 7 Things ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

‼️‼️‼️Warning from His Word‼️‼️‼️

“These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him” – Proverbs 6:16 KJV

Introduction

The heart of God is holy, just, and righteous. His Word reveals not only what He loves but also what He hates. Understanding the things that provoke God’s displeasure is not meant to scare us, but to awaken us to holiness and obedience. Scripture warns us repeatedly that sin is serious and that God’s hatred is directed toward actions and attitudes that oppose His nature.

In Proverbs 6:16-19, God outlines seven things He hates—behaviors and attitudes that destroy relationships, communities, and even our own souls. This lesson will unpack these seven abominations and explain why they matter for every believer.

1. A Proud Look (Prideful Eyes)

“A proud look” – Proverbs 6:17 KJV

Pride is self-exaltation. It puts us above God and others, causing arrogance, entitlement, and a heart that resists correction. God hates pride because it dishonors His authority and poisons relationships. Pride leads to downfall, as James 4:6 reminds us, “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”

Application: Cultivate humility. Let your actions reflect Christ’s example of servanthood, not self-promotion.

2. A Lying Tongue

“A lying tongue” – Proverbs 6:17 KJV

God detests deceit. Lies corrupt communities, destroy trust, and misrepresent truth. Even small lies can spiral into great destruction. Honesty is a reflection of God’s character, who is “the God of truth” (Psalm 31:5 KJV).

Application: Speak truth in love, even when it is difficult. Let your words build faith and integrity.

3. Hands That Shed Innocent Blood

“Hands that shed innocent blood” – Proverbs 6:17 KJV

This refers to murder, violence, and harming the innocent. God’s hatred of this sin shows His reverence for life. Every person is made in His image, and harming them is a direct affront to His creation.

Application: Value life. Reject violence, injustice, and oppression in every form.

4. A Heart That Thinks Up Wicked Schemes

“A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations” – Proverbs 6:18 KJV

God hates hidden evil. Planning harm or scheming against others reflects a corrupt heart. Sin often starts in thought before action. Jesus said, “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart” (Matthew 5:28 KJV).

Application: Guard your heart. Purity of thought leads to purity of action.

5. Feet That Are Swift in Running to Mischief

“Feet that be swift in running to mischief” – Proverbs 6:18 KJV

Eagerness to pursue evil is sinful. God hates those who actively chase wickedness rather than fleeing temptation. The Bible calls for believers to “flee also youthful lusts” (2 Timothy 2:22 KJV).

Application: Avoid situations that lead to sin. Run toward righteousness, not rebellion.

6. A False Witness Who Speaketh Lies

“A false witness that speaketh lies” – Proverbs 6:19 KJV

Gossip, slander, and false testimony destroy communities and reputations. God values justice and truth; lying to harm others is an abomination.

Application: Speak truthfully. Defend the innocent and never bear false witness.

7. He That Sews Discord Among Brethren

“He that soweth discord among brethren” – Proverbs 6:19 KJV

Creating division, strife, and conflict within God’s family is detestable to Him. Unity and peace reflect God’s character; discord undermines fellowship and the witness of the Church.

Application: Be a peacemaker. Promote reconciliation, understanding, and unity among believers.

Conclusion

God’s hatred for these seven things is a warning and a guide. He calls us to live holy lives, reflecting His character in every thought, word, and action. Pride, deceit, violence, scheming, eagerness for evil, false testimony, and division grieve His heart, but obedience, humility, truthfulness, and peace please Him.

Takeaway: Examine your heart daily. Ask God to cleanse areas that harbor these abominations. Walk in righteousness, and let your life be a testimony of His holiness. Remember, God does not merely punish sin; He calls us to repent, change, and live in His ways.
