I've heard this passage explained away as a smallish gate, which is silly. There is no evidence to support that and it directly contradicts the next thing Jesus said, that it is impossible, not just a little difficult but you can do it!

"Both sides do x" is an argument I have heard a lot since the assassination. Here is the problem with that thinking. Both sides have a kook fringe element but whenever violence happens against a democrat, conservatives immediately condemn and reject it. Leftists though, not so much. On the left the kook fringe has taken over to the point they make up the majority of leftist congressmen.

If you struggle with this area, if you are considering taking these steps please don't make war on your own body in seeking acceptance. God made you wonderful the way you are. If you are a victim of the transgender ideology there is grace and forgiveness in Christ and while this terrible activity has lifelong consequences, God is a God of redemption and salvation. Turn to Him for peace and comfort.

Leftist only really have one tactic in a dialog and it is to shut down any opposition through the use of divisive language and accusations. Diagnosing non-existent phobias, associating people who disagrees with them with facism, declaring people racist for not holding to their weird view of how races should be treated which is anything but equal.... if you step out of line you will be shouted down with these pointless accusations so they don't have to listen to any form of reasoning you might provide.

The Bible has a diagnosis for this. It says that those who exchange God for gods made in the image of earthly things profess to be wise while being fools.

They immediately turn up the volume to 11. “Hate.” “Facism.” “Nazism.” Anything they don’t like is “evil.” Look in the mirror, people.
