Sometimes, the people closest to us are the ones who have the greatest opportunity to hurt us.

And when we’ve been hurt, it can be tempting to keep score, to remember what was said, what was done, and how many times we’ve been disappointed.

But what if winning in our homes isn’t about keeping a record of the wounds, but allowing Jesus to begin healing them?

A scar doesn’t deny that the wound happened. It shows that healing has begun.

Jesus doesn’t ask us to pretend the hurt never happened. He meets us in those wounded places and begins the work of restoration. He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. Psalm 147:3 🤍

There’s a difference between having a scar and living with an open wound.

A scar says, “I was hurt, but I’m healing.”

And maybe the places that once caused the most pain can become reminders of God’s faithfulness, stories of what He brought you through.

Let the healing begin. ❤️‍🩹

Your family is the most important team you’ll ever play on.

And families don’t drift into a strong, connected relationship by accident. It takes intentionality. It takes making time to put the distractions down, get on the same page, and actually be present with one another.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s connection. Sometimes, strengthening your family can start with something as simple as asking better questions, slowing down long enough to really listen, and making space for one another.

So this week, huddle up. Put the phone down, check in with your people, and make some room for the conversations that matter.

Because it’s hard to win at home when everyone is running a different play. ❤️
