Sightler as Pastor. Tabernacle was led into "Faith Missions", honoring God and His commission. The church started a faith outreach ministry for the servants of God, and called it "Tabernacle Baptist Missions (TBM)." This ministry was in operation on a low key until the early 80's. Then, in 1993 the name of the mission agency was changed from its original name to "Tabernacle Baptist Missions Intern
ational (TBMI)." TBMI is a local church ministry, extending a mission arm according to New Testament teaching, believing that the evangelization of the world is the privilege and duty of the church. The TBMI mission board combines the efforts of supporting churches with the missionary, to go forth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The combined efforts are a voluntary agreement on the part of church, missionary, and Mission Board. TBMI then becomes a vital part of establishing and maintaining a relationship between the missionary on the field and the sending church at home.
