Take it ONE DAY AT A TIME

05/10/2026

Today, we honor moms, adoptive moms, foster moms, grandmas, aunts, sisters, mentors, and the women who stepped in and loved well when it mattered most.

To every woman who nurtured, encouraged, sacrificed, prayed, showed up, and loved through the hard moments…thank you.

Your love mattered.
And it still does

Sometimes the hardest thing to face is not that people abandoned us…
but that pain convinced us they were never really there.

“The victim” says:
“No one helps me.”
Yet there are tired people nearby who tried…again and again.

“The victim” says:
“I’m all alone.”
While texts went unanswered, calls ignored, doors closed, and hearts pushed away.

“The victim” says:
“I have no family. No friends.”
But maybe they stopped knocking because every attempt was met with walls instead of welcome.

Pain is real.
Depression is real.
Trauma is real.

But there is a difference between being wounded…
and building an identity around the wound.

Sometimes people don’t leave because they stopped loving you.
Sometimes they step back because nothing they do is allowed to matter.

Healing begins when we stop asking,
“Why is nobody here?”
and start asking,
“Have I allowed anyone in?”

Not everyone who loves you will love you perfectly.
But invisible love is still love.
And ignored hands eventually stop reaching.

The good news?
Doors that have been shut can still be opened.
Pride can soften.
Walls can come down.

And lonely places do not have to stay lonely forever.
