Where are you finding assurance in your faith? God intends for you to be sure and steady in your faith, but there's only one place to find that assurance.

Observing religious practices and traditions, successful fights with temptation, and regular devotion to God are all evidence of your faith. But evidence cannot be confused with the source of a believer's faith. Your sanctification comes because of your justification; it doesn't produce your justification.

Romans 8:1 says "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." A true unshakable assurance can only come from resting in the work of Christ as revealed in scripture.
