On this date, July 29, 1990, the new east wing of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church was dedicated. Ground had been broken the previous year. The addition included new office spaces, bathrooms and a ramped east entrance from the driveway.

A SIGN OF THE TIMES! A new sign was recently installed at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. In its 75-year history, the church has had a variety of signs to invite people in. Along the way, it appears a familiar person has been involved over the years! Click the pictures to learn more.

Our Country is 250 and our Church is 75 – and we’re praying for all this weekend with a 25-hour PRAYER VIGIL at the church. Beginning at 9:30 am on SATURDAY, JULY 4, through the 9:30 am SUNDAY, JULY 5 worship service, we will seek the Lord’s wisdom and blessing as we pray through all 150 Psalms and selected passages focused on community, family, education and nation. SATURDAY AFTERNOON will include COMMUNITY PRAYER WALKS from 4:30 pm until 10:30 pm, walking around and praying for City Hall, Hospital, GMS and GHS, Meijer, Baldwin Heights and Baldwin Lake. Everyone is invited to participate at any time to pray with us or submit personal prayer requests we can pray for, as we “Joyfully Follow Jesus by Living, Loving and Serving – and Praying!

Looking back during our 75th Anniversary year: On this day, June 24 in 1956, Mount Calvary Lutheran Church dedicated its church building at 908 West Oak Street in Greenville,Michigan. From 24 charter members in 1951 the church had grown to 80 members in 1956 at the time of the dedication! Praise God! (click pics for more info.)
