Bio of Bishop LaShunda Acosta
Bishop LaShunda Clinkscales Acosta was born in 1976. Her parents are the late Bishop Paul Clinkscales of Storehouse Ministries in Anderson SC & Assistant Pastor Cynthia Cannon of Living Faith in T.R. SC. USA. Bishop Acosta received the gift of Salvation as young as 3yrs old & the gift of speaking in tongues at 4yrs old. During this time, she begin to build her own personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. She would take her Children’s Bible, and write out Bible Studies, and get her dad to check it to make sure she understood her studies correctly. At 4yrs old, every Sunday afternoon, she would go to the radio station with her dad for his live preaching & sing solos live on the air.
Bishop Acosta is the mother of 3 beautiful & intelligent children that are saved and have their own personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Her 3 children assist her with ministry & are a huge asset to her life. She also has a sweet Jack Russell named Max that is helpful too.
Bishop Acosta founded Light and Truth Int'l Ministries, a nonprofit organization in 2017. She started out with 10 adult members, and their children (and hers), in her living room. Now, she is the covering for 2 lead pastors that have 1 church each and 1 orphanage, & a bishop that has 3 churches and an orphanage in Kenya, Africa.
Bishop Felix Hill, Da Nu Kountra Preacha, of Alabama saw the need to ordain her as an Overseer in 2018. As she continued to serve the Lord, Apostle Derrick Kinlow Sr. of SC ordained her as a bishop on 2/27/2021.
Light and Truth Int’l Ministries is still going strong. As of 4/9/26, Bishop Acosta’s covering currently is Chief Apostle/Bishop Gregory, Dr. & Pastor Beverley Toliver, Dr. (GB Toliver of World Impact Fellowship) of which she serves as the Jurisdictional Prelate of the Light and Truth Jurisdiction.
Locally, Bishop Acosta has done/is doing evangelism: started a Bible Study in a children’s home & a boys home (orphanages); does outreach ministry feeding & ministering to the homeless living on the streets, feeding/clothing/ministering to the needy/hungry; Bible Studies in shelters, drug rehab facilities, & nursing homes.
Locally, as a bishop she assists with rebuilding & strengthening the foundation of local churches, she has Bible Studies in her living room, preaches & teaches & sings at other churches’ services when requested to do so (as the Lord leads), and soon she will be having church services in the local library conference room. You might also find her fellowshipping & serving the Lord wherever her Spiritual Mother, Apostle Hattie Gambrell of Living Faith Ministries Int'l of T.R., SC USA, is at ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And of course, you’ll find her fellowshipping & serving the Lord in services with her covering Chief Apostle Dr. Gregory Toliver & Pastor Dr. Beverly Toliver.
