"All the people gather..."

At Triune Mercy Center, these words aren't just lyrics—they are our daily reality. Every time we open our doors, a beautiful tapestry of individuals comes together, ready to help carry each other’s burdens.

We see it every single day:

We are hope despite the challenging times.
We are strength when the road gets heavy.
We are a family that reminds each other we don't have to walk alone.

Life can change all of a sudden, but so can our hearts when we share in true community. To everyone who steps through our doors, who volunteers, and who supports our mission: thank you for bringing your joy here, and for taking it with you wherever you go.

Come gather with us this week. There is a place, a purpose, and a hand to hold for everyone.

As we continue our series exploring the problem of Christian nationalism, we’re reminded that the kingdom of God cannot be controlled, co-opted, or confined to any political movement.

You can try to claim Christianity for a nation.
You can try to turn the cross into a symbol of political power.
You can try to silence voices that call for justice, mercy, and inclusion.

But you cannot stop God’s work of renewal.

At Triune Mercy Center, we believe the church is called to something bigger than protecting power or drawing lines between who belongs and who doesn’t. We are called to follow Jesus—to welcome the stranger, love our neighbors, stand with the vulnerable, seek justice, practice mercy, and proclaim hope.

You can cut the flowers.
You can never keep spring from coming.

In whose image are we made? In whose image are we to emulate and follow? It’s hard to ignore the connection from the opening of God‘s words in Genesis (1:26) that we are created by God and bear God‘s image. As Christ’s disciples, we are called to be a different kind of people whose lives bear witness to Jesus in ways that the world finds astonishing, perplexing, and unrecognizable. We are created and claimed by God; therefore, how we treat one another matters to God. Where we spend our allegiance matters to God.

We have begun a sermon series on the dangers of Christian Nationalism, and we invite you to join us for worship this Sunday at 11 AM for week 2 of the series.

At Triune, we are well aware of the weariness and divisiveness of partisan politics and people not wanting to talk about politics at church and for very good reason. However, we are living in a time when there is an unhealthy mix of faith and politics, and there is confusion and misinformation among us.
