Come and join us to learn more about Lent and how it’s for all Christian’s. Traditionally observed primarily by Catholics in recent years it has become an important date on many church calendars.

Please join us at 5:00 Wednesday. Should be less than an hour.

All are invited to join us at 7:00 tonight and Tomorrow night for reviving and renewal.
This Sunday is our homecoming Sunday, a feast will be spread at noon. Make plans to attend.
Our revival kicks off tonight with Mrs. Ruth Davis from Zebulon. She will be playing our piano and providing her testimony. This is the 3rd year she has joined us for revival and shared her talent with us. She is thought well enough by Zebulon Baptist that she has been there pianist for over 40 years.

Tomorrow night we will hear from Raquel Neal. A great friend to our church over the last 4 years always ready to help when called upon. This lady has a powerful testimony and a great love for all she encounters.

It’s my privilege to call these two ladies my good friends. I’m excited to see how the Lord uses them in the coming days.

Please come join us at 7 each night and homecoming on Sunday at 11.

Please join us for our Ash Wednesday service today, March 5th @ 6:00 PM.
Today marks the beginning of the season of Lent. How one prepares for Lent is a personal decision. Attending a service and receiving ashes is a solid start to a successful journey that will end Easter Morning. Don’t miss out on this magnificent opportunity that can bring you and your family closer to God and each other. And if you are not sure what all this means come on out and see for yourself. We would love to share our faith with you. Please come, you’ll be so glad ya did.

“Forgiven” painted in 1991 by Thomas Blackshear II. African American artist and Christian evidenced by the thought that went into this masterpiece of American/Religious art.

I was drawn into this painting the first time it crossed my path. It spoke to me you could say. The symbolism that all the elements have from the larger hands of Christ to the Lillie’s growing from Christ blood all point towards forgiveness and salvation. Research the meanings behind each element. Powerful teaching. God had a hand in this coming to be and millions have seen this image and many lives were and are still being transformed.

If you’re still with me, good and thank you because I’m in need of some prayer warriors to help me pray this cancer out of my esophagus. As many of you already have taken my needs to the Father. I’m struggling with my weight to adequately fight such a cunning disease which has blocked my preferred form of food delivery. Mouth-throat-stomach. Taken for granted all my life until it quit working as intended. Now I receive from a pump straight into my small intestines. Gross. I know. Eating a meal is a social event since the beginning of time. That has also been denied me.

It isn’t a fair fight I face so I am asking all who have stayed with me till now to just pray, write or say.
Please God I’m asking that you remove this blockage from your servants throat so his weight can be increased to help him along this journey to ultimate healing from You when he is restored to fullness once more. In Jesus name Amen!!

God bless each and everyone who prayed that and will continue to lift me up in your prayers and the prayers of your church.

Have a seat Satan and buckle up. Were taking
this to the next level.

Mount up prayer warriors… we ride when summoned. Let’s do this!!!

"This is the day the Lord hath made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!!!!"

I am home and will be attending worship at my home church today.
My pet scan was determined to reveal the cancer is contained to the one spot and has not spread. I will meet with Surgeons on Friday to determine if we do surgery first then chemo or chemo first then surgery. I'm hopeful that the surgery will be first and then minimal chemotherapy. Guardedly optimistic that this will work to a quicker removal of the cancer and I can get back to normal sooner than later.
I give all praise to God and believe that He will see me through.
Thanks for all the continued prayers. They are working. Please continue to lift my children up and the needs I have. God bless you all.
Much Love,
Scott Atkins

First let me thank everyone for the many cards, text, calls and messages, and Facebook shout-outs making me feel so loved on my birthday and I appreciate you all so very much. Now……

This photo represents my current view and my view for the past 10 days.

I am sharing a very important message that I hope will bring prayers my way to facilitate my complete recovery during this journey that I have embarked on and began 10 days ago. I have esophageal cancer. Before I go on I must share that “My God is BIGGER than cancer.
The stubbornness of “Man” can often stand in the way situations should transpire. The stubbornness of this man, I can attest to the situation that I face today. I should have come to the doctor sooner. For this I apologize to My God, my children, all of my family and my many friends. I started losing weight about 3years ago. I weighed 135 lbs this morning. I’ve dropped nearly 100 lbs in three years while thinking it would level off. I made myself a promise that if I dipped below 150 lbs I would go to the Dr. I kept this promise to my self. A CT scan showed a large amount of food lodged in my esophagus. The plan initially was to remove the impacted food and all would be well. Upon removal of food a tumor was located to be the culprit. Biopsy showed it to be malignant. Stage2-3. More test will hopefully bring that down to a 2. (However, prayers from Gods people can bring that number to zero) A feeding tube was placed into my bowels just below my stomach 5 days ago. Trying to get the best formula and amounts that work best until I can be released. Then when I put on some weight I can begin chemotherapy for two months and then the surgery to remove a section of my esophagus and reattach my stomach to what remains. I am confident that I will recover with time and patience. If you read this through to the end I am asking for prayers for my children and family as they help me along this path.

I was directed by God in writing this today to speak to the one who is reading this that stubborness has caused difficulties in their life’s experience. If you recognize this to be YOU. Do the next right thing. Be it a Dr. visit or a heaping helping of crow. Don’t delay any longer because NO GOOD can be achieved from being stubborn.

May God richly bless you and your families. If you will share my needs when you raise yours on high I will feel each one and praise God for the healing that is in store for me. Love to you all and the prayer list at your churches. I would consider it an honor to be added. When God’s people come together and pray miracles can happen. This I believe. Do you?

These are pictures I took and lifted from my camera roll. Each picture gives a glimpse into the magnificence of our God and Creator. He does some mighty fine work. One could just look at these pictures much differently if they are unable to see the hand that God plays in our lives.

We are having Revival at the church beginning tonight Wednesday 7/31- Friday each night beginning at 7.
We are happy to have Matt Hinesley from First Baptist of Zebulon along with the pianist from their church, Mrs. Ruth Davis. It’s a thrill to have them both return this year as they led our revival last summer. Come on out and join us for some lively singing of beloved hymns and a revival message to recharge ourselves to become more Christ like and to go out into the community and share our Savior,Jesus Christ with all whose path we may cross.
Don’t miss out this year. It’s gonna be a good one.

If you feel a distance has formed between you and God or maybe you never have experienced God on a personal level because you think of yourself as not worthy or good enough for God.
None of us are worthy nor good enough. After reading this if you had a thought well maybe I should go…… that was Him nudging you. Do not miss this opportunity if you were in fact nudged. Give it just one night…..
I believe you’d be back for the next night. Do not be tricked by Satan into not collecting your blessing.

This photo was taken at our Sonrise Easter service a couple weeks ago. A wonderful experience at dawn.
Tomorrow ,April 14th,we are having a campfire service at 11am. Our lesson will center on the campfire that our risen Lord prepared a breakfast of fish for disciples who were in a boat fishing. A fire was built on the beach by our Savior to cook the boys some breakfast We will have fish cooking on our fire too , to mimick the smell of that morning. Come as you are…. Just come. Our Pastor Neil can bring Bible stories to life in such a way that you will remember it easier than just reading about it.

See you at the fire.

Yes!!!!
Easter is for Jesus. And it’s also for all Christians.

Thank you Ebenezer Presbyterian (Hogansville)and Pastor Jan Tolbert for having a Maundy Thursday worship service.
The Tenebrae service is visual experience of snuffing candles out at key moments until all are extinguished.

Feel free to Google for a better explanation or
BETTER YET…..

We are having a Tenebrae service right here in Greenville as part of our Good Friday service at 7:00 Every Christian should attend a Tenebrae service to learn what it is and how it may be used by you or your church.

Our Pastor, Neil Stich will be doing a character monologue tonight. He’s gonna take on the role of Barrabus and we will hear straight from the murderer how it happened that he was freed and the Lamb of God was slain.
Service is at 7:00 pm
