There is a big difference between an associate and family. 👥 vs. 🩸

It’s easy to say "what's up" to an associate on the street. It’s easy to hang out with friends when things are good. But family? Family means even when you are tripping, you are still family. We don't "unfamily" people.

That is exactly how Jesus sees you.

You matter to Him so much that He didn't just call you a friend—He identified with you as family. And He didn’t just identify with your highlights; He identified with your absolute worst moments.

2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us He made the One who knew no sin to be sin for us. Think about that: the parts of your life you try to hide, the secrets you are ashamed of, the things you wish you could erase—Jesus stood up on the cross and was publicly exposed for them so that you could be completely clothed in His righteousness.

If the King of Glory is not ashamed to call you family, you never have to hide from Him. You belong. ❤️

He knew the risks, but He chose you anyway. 🔒❤️

Think about this: when Jesus saved you, He knew exactly what He was getting into.

He knew there would be days you’d want to go left when He said go right. He knew there would be a spiritual tug-of-war. He knew the risks, the flaws, and the weak moments—and He chose to handcuff Himself to your heart eternally anyway.

Through the Holy Spirit, you have an indissolvable connection to Christ. You are baptized into one body. You aren't just an associate; you are family, permanently tethered to the King of Glory.

Stop wondering if you've messed up too badly for His grace. He already factored in your worst days when He chose you. 🙌

Stop waiting for a spiritual gifts test to tell you what to do. Just show up. 🛠️✨

If you’re sitting around wondering, "What is my spiritual gift?" the answer isn't hidden in a questionnaire. It's found in action.

Spiritual gifts are given for two main reasons: to build up the church and to share the Gospel. That means the absolute best way to discover your gifts is to start serving and start sharing.

👉 Don't know if you have a gift for evangelism? Go on a prayer walk or strike up a conversation.
👉 Don't know if you're gifted to invest in the next generation? Show up and help out.

You can't steer a parked car, and you can't discover a gift you've never tried to use. Be available, jump into the gaps, and let God surprise you with how He uses you.

"If you're gonna force me to pick, I'm gonna pick the fruit." 🍇

The church in Corinth had all the "firework" gifts—tongues, prophecy, you name it. But while they were boasting about their spectacular spiritual gifts, they were also competing with each other and completely neglecting their character.

Paul had to step in and say, "Slow your roll." 🛑

It’s easy to get excited about the gifts of the Spirit, but we can't let that excitement make us neglect the fruit of the Spirit.

💥 It doesn't matter if you can speak in tongues if you're mean to people.
💥 It doesn't mean a lot if you can prophesy but lack goodness and faithfulness.
💥 It's not a big deal if you're a leader but can't lead with gentleness.

Gifts show what God can do through you, but fruit shows what God is doing in you. Let’s prioritize character over charisma. ✨

When God Mutes Your Worship 😳👇

"It's like, 'I don't like it when you sacrifice. I don't like, I don't like, I don't like your singing. It's just clangy.' But why? Why?

Isaiah 1:15-17 says: 'When you spread out your hands in prayer, I refuse to look at you. Even if you offer countless prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are covered with blood. Wash yourselves. Cleanse yourselves. Remove your evil deeds from my sight. Stop doing evil. Learn to do what is good. Pursue justice. Correct the oppressor. Defend the rights of the fatherless.'"

This is one of the most terrifying realities in Scripture: God will actively tune out our worship if we are ignoring the hurting people right in front of us.

We can have the best lights, the most moving songs, and a packed house on Sunday morning. But if our faith doesn't translate into active, everyday justice for the vulnerable, God calls our songs nothing more than "clangy" noise.

The issue isn't that the people in Isaiah's day stopped going to church; the issue was that they left the church building and did nothing for the fatherless, the widow, and the oppressed in their own community. God doesn't just want our hands raised in prayer—He wants our hands working for justice.

A heavy gut-check for the modern church 🧵👇

"If the church is supposed to be a model community before it's a prophetic community, you gotta ask the question: Are vulnerable people in our churches?

'Cause here's the deal: When I see the life of Jesus, the needy were with Him. And He ain't changed. And the needy ain't changed. So who changed?

We did.

If the needy are not in your church, you don't need to assume it's 'cause everybody's cool. And you don't need to assume it's just because they don't want to be there. No, no, no. Jesus attracted the needy. If His church does not... the question is, why?"

Church, we can't look at the world and demand justice if we aren't creating a safe, welcoming, and accessible space for the vulnerable right inside our own doors. If our pews don't reflect the company Jesus kept, it’s time to stop looking outward and start looking in the mirror.

"I realize how much grace has been given to me because I can't give anything to Christ." ✨

In a deeply moving moment from our latest episode, the conversation turns to the "fellowship of suffering." We often look for God in the high points, but there is a unique, profound way we meet Jesus when we step into the struggles of others.

The beautiful paradox of service:
When the Spirit leads us to care for someone who has absolutely nothing to offer us in return, it clears the lens of our own faith.

We see His heart: We learn how much He cares for us by experiencing a supernatural care for others.

We see our own story: Helping those who can't "repay" us is the ultimate reminder of the Gospel—that we were once empty-handed, and Christ gave us everything.

If you want to know Jesus more deeply, don’t just look for Him in the comforts. Look for Him in the fellowship of the struggling.
