A stumble does not have to become your ending.

Join Pastor Matthew D. Long, Jr. for Faith + Expanded Bible Study as we continue The War Within: From Self to Spirit with Romans 11:7 through 16.

Paul explains that although many in Israel stumbled through unbelief, God’s redemptive plan was not over. Their failure was not final, and their stumbling did not stop God from working. God used what looked like rejection to open the door of salvation to the Gentiles, while still preserving His purpose for Israel.

This lesson reminds us that failure does not have to be final. A wrong turn does not cancel God’s grace. Even when people stumble, God remains faithful, His plan keeps moving, and restoration is still possible.

PEEP THIS: A stumble may interrupt your steps, but it does not have the authority to rewrite God’s plan.

Long Jr. unpacks Habakkuk's raw, honest complaint to God, and the answer that still applies to you right now. Rock Hill Baptist Church II Giveaway Serves More Than 250 Neighbors

Greenville, S.C. - Rock Hill Baptist Church II transformed faith into action Saturday, August 29th, as volunteers distributed nearly $250,000 worth of electronics, food, clothing, household goods, and other supplies to Greenville-area families.

Preliminary figures indicate that more than 250 people were served during the free Greenville Community Care Event, held at the church on Plantation Road. Volunteers began unloading and organizing a tractor-trailer filled with donated merchandise early Saturday morning before opening the distribution to the public.

The event reminded participants that even in a growing and thriving Greenville, many families are still struggling to make ends meet. United Way of Greenville County reports that poverty affects approximately 21 percent of Black residents and 22 percent of Hispanic residents, compared with 9 percent of white residents. Its 2025 Impact Report also states that nearly 28,000 connections were made for neighbors seeking assistance with housing, food, utilities and crisis support.

Those numbers reveal the need, but Saturday’s event placed the focus on the people behind the statistics. Neighbors, churches, organizations, schools, child care centers, volunteers and community partners came together to serve families with dignity and compassion.

The Rev. Matthew Long Jr., pastor of Rock Hill Baptist Church II, said the giveaway was about more than distributing donated goods.

“It was about sharing a blessing and reminding people that they are seen, valued and supported,” Long said.

The donated items came through one of the church’s missions partners, which wanted to bless Greenville residents in appreciation for the church’s support of work in other communities.

Long pointed to Galatians 6:2, which calls believers to “bear one another’s burdens,” as the guiding principle behind the outreach.

“The church cannot afford to be present in a community without being present for the community,” he said.

Saturday’s event demonstrated what is possible when people move beyond organizational boundaries and unite for their neighbors. By sharing the burden, participants delivered a powerful message to struggling families: They do not have to carry it alone.

Paul confronts a critical question. Has God rejected His people? The answer is clear. Absolutely not. God has always preserved a remnant, not because of human performance, but because of His grace.

This is not merely a lesson about who remained. It is a revelation of the God who remains faithful. Unbelief can keep you out of the move, but it cannot keep God from moving.
