Born September 8, 1954, She was the first African-American child to attend William Frantz Elementary School in Louisiana.

She is the subject of a 1964 painting, The Problem We All Live With, by Norman Rockwell and the subject of the TV movie Ruby Bridges (1998).

Restoring Sisters Who Are Tired, Weary, and Silent is an empowering time of healing, encouragement, and restoration for every woman who has grown weary from life’s battles, become tired from carrying heavy burdens, or has suffered in silence. God sees every tear, hears every unspoken cry, and promises to renew the strength of those who wait on Him.
