We are deeply grateful to all who joined us in fellowship and supported our youth. Our children have demonstrated remarkable talent and dedication. As we journey through life, may we continue to walk in God's love and extend it to others, upholding the values of love and compassion.

Marie Van Brittan Brown invented the first home security system in 1966—including a camera, TV monitor, microphone, and remote door lock. Her idea became the foundation for today’s doorbell cameras and smart-home security used around the world.
Why it mattered: She created it to help families feel safe when police response was slow in her neighborhood—and her invention changed how homes are protected forever.

🎵 Black History Fun Fact – About a Singer
Did you know?
A Black gospel singer named Sister Rosetta Tharpe is called the “Godmother of Rock & Roll.”
In the 1930s and 40s she played electric guitar with a loud, energetic style that inspired future legends like Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, and Little Richard. She mixed church music with rhythm and blues—something no one had heard before!
Fun Detail:
She was so popular that in 1951 she held her wedding in a baseball stadium—and performed a concert in her wedding dress!
Lesson: The sound of rock music started with a bold Black woman and a guitar.

Day 3……,,,,Black history fun fact

In 1872—almost 50 years before women nationwide could vote—a Black woman named Charlotte E. Ray became the first Black female lawyer in the United States. She graduated from Howard University School of Law and was admitted to the Washington, D.C. bar when many states still wouldn’t even allow women or Black people to study law.
Even more surprising?
She had to enroll using only her initials, “C.E. Ray,” because the school feared she would be rejected if they knew she was a woman. After becoming a lawyer, she opened her own practice and argued commercial law cases—something almost unheard of for any woman in the 1800s.
Why people don’t know her: racism and sexism made it nearly impossible for her to get clients, and she eventually had to leave law to become a teacher—yet she cracked the door for every Black woman attorney who came after her.
