🌏 PRAY FOR THE HMONG NJUA OF CHINA

In Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, more than 50,000 Hmong Njua live in southeastern China near the Vietnam border, with smaller numbers also living in Vietnam.

The Hmong Njua migrated into this region during the 1700s and have maintained a distinct identity. Their dialect is very different from that of neighboring Hmong groups. Most make their living from the land, farming crops such as sugarcane and tea.

🌏 PRAY FOR THE HMONG LENG PEOPLE OF CHINA 🇨🇳

In Jinping County, Yunnan Province, approximately 250,000 Hmong Leng live in the mountainous region of southern China. Even larger Hmong Leng communities are found across Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and the United States.

The Hmong Leng primarily share two dialects and are often known for placing a high value on education and economic advancement. Their traditional religious background includes a mixture of Buddhism and animism, with spiritual traditions continuing to influence many families.
There are known Hmong Leng Christians outside of China, but very few believers are known among those living inside China. Pray that the Gospel will reach across villages, families, and generations.

🔵 CULTURE: Well educated, economically progressive, two primary dialects
🔵 RELIGION: Buddhism and animism; very few known Christians in China

🌏 PRAY FOR THE HMONG DOU OF CHINA

More than 4,000 Hmong Dou live primarily in one large village in Dananshan, Guizhou Province, China. This close-knit minority group rarely ventures outside its community and has preserved its distinct dialect and cultural identity.
Most Hmong Dou still look to spirits for guidance and protection. A small group of Christians has been reported, but the Gospel remains greatly needed among these isolated people.

🔴 DISTINCT CULTURE — Their traditional dialect remains strong
🔴 SPIRIT WORSHIP — Many depend upon the spirit world for guidance
🔴 GOSPEL NEED — A small Christian presence among thousands

🙏 Pray for the believers among the Hmong Dou. Pray that the Gospel will spread from family to family and that many will turn from fear of spirits to faith in Jesus Christ.

In Jinping County, Yunnan Province, near China’s southern border, about 20,000 Hmong Alex Nchab live in this mountainous region. They speak their own distinct dialect, while also being able to communicate with several surrounding related ethnic groups.
The Hmong Alex Nchab have maintained their cultural and linguistic identity through generations. Spiritually, most follow polytheistic and animistic beliefs, with traditional practices centered around the spirit world.
There have been small pockets of Christians among the Hmong Alex Nchab, but believers have faced severe persecution for their faith. Their greatest need is for the Gospel to be clearly proclaimed and for believers to have the strength and freedom to share Christ with their own people.

🇨🇳 PRAY FOR THE HMONG DAW OF CHINA

The Hmong Daw are a distinct minority people living primarily in Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, along China’s southern border with Vietnam. More than 200,000 Hmong Daw live in China, with large communities also found in Vietnam, Laos, and even California.
Despite being scattered across several countries, the Hmong Daw have maintained their distinct language and cultural identity. In China, many continue to practice animism, with traditional beliefs involving spirits and the unseen world.
Interestingly, there are many Hmong Daw Christians outside of China, especially in Southeast Asia and the United States. Yet among their own people inside China, the Gospel has made far fewer inroads.

🌏 PRAY FOR THE HMONG BUA OF CHINA

More than 60,000 Hmong Bua live primarily in Weixin and Zhenxiong Counties of Yunnan Province, China, with another 20,000 across the border in Vietnam. The Hmong Bua migrated into this region about 200 years ago and have maintained their distinct culture and language.

Interestingly, the Hmong Bua on both sides of the border speak the same dialect, yet the two communities have little connection and do not acknowledge one another as the same people.
Most Hmong Bua in China remain animists, following traditional beliefs involving the spirit world. Across the border in Vietnam, however, there is a significant community of Christians. What a reminder that the Gospel can cross every border!

🇨🇳 PRAY FOR THE HMONG BE PEOPLE OF CHINA

In the hilly countryside around Babao Township, Guizhou Province, lives a small minority group known as the Hmong Be. Just over 1,000 people make up this distinct community in southern China.
Though small in number, the Hmong Be have maintained their cultural identity and unique dialect. They are part of a much larger people group whose roots in this region stretch back nearly 2,000 years.
Animism remains their primary belief system, the worship and fear of spirits that have influenced generations of their people.
And among the Hmong Be, there are no known Christians.

🔴 CULTURE: A distinct identity and dialect preserved for generations
🔴 FAITH: Primarily animist—with no known Christian believers

PRAY FOR THE HKAURI PEOPLE OF CHINA 🇨🇳

In Yingjiang County, Yunnan Province, near China’s border with Myanmar, lives a tiny community of Hkauri people. While approximately 120,000 Hkauri live in Myanmar, only about 100 are believed to live in China—concentrated in a single village.
The Hkauri are believed to have originally migrated from Tibet. Their language has two distinct dialects, and their linguistic identity is strong enough that a separate Hkauri dictionary has been developed.

Across the border in Myanmar, there is a large Christian community among the Hkauri. But among this small, isolated group in China, the presence of Christian believers is unknown.

🔹 LOCATION: Yingjiang County, Yunnan Province
🔹 LANGUAGE: Two distinct Hkauri dialects
🔹 GOSPEL NEED: Christian influence is strong among Hkauri in Myanmar, but unknown in their Chinese village

Pray that the Gospel will cross borders and reach this small Hkauri community in China. Pray that every Hkauri family will have an opportunity to hear of Jesus Christ and receive the Word of God.
