Over the last six weeks, we have been encouraged by our summer sermon series, tracing the story of God throughout all of Scripture.
As a response to these truths, members of this worship team worked together to write, adapt, and arrange four new verses to the Doxology. It was a joy to sing these verses with you this past Sunday as we remembered that our God is the God who creates, pursues, saves, commits, sends, and reigns.

Praise God, the maker of all things
Praise Him, sustaining life he brings
From nothing did our God create
Upholding us without our aid

The Lord our God is surely good
His covenants have firmly stood
His mercies are forever sure
And shall from age to age endure

Praise God who saves us by His Son
Through him the victory is won
He died and rose up from the grave
Pursuing sinners to be saved

Praise God who makes the nations his
Who sends His Spirit as a gift
From every people tribe and tongue
To dwell forever with the Son

Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him, all creatures here below
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
Amen

This Sunday, Pastor Matt Rogers will be preaching, “The God Who Reigns,” from Revelation 21-22. We will conclude our 6 week summer sermon series, the Story, which traces God’s plan of redemption throughout the entire Bible.

We have two services, 9am and 11am. Classes are available for younger children at both hours. However, the classes for 2nd through 5th grade children are only at the 11 o’clock hour. Youth classes for 6th through 12th grade will be in the Fellowship Hall. There are adult classes at 11am.

Small Group Huddle — This Sunday at 5 PM!

Whether you’re a small group leader, currently in a group, or looking to get connected, we’d love for you to join us!
Matt and Hugh will share vision and practical tools for small groups, followed by dinner together in the gym.

Childcare is provided with kids programming and a pizza dinner in the kids area. Check-in begins at 4:45 PM, and pickup will follow the event at 7:00 PM.

We’d love to see our whole church family there as we pursue community, care, and growth in God’s Word through our small group ministry!

ESPN Sources: Christ Fellowship Northgate is trading Pastor Matt Rogers to Park Baptist Church for Pastor Dave Kiehn.

Both sides have already agreed to terms to a new deal for one Sunday, $0 dollar contract. The trade will come into effect on 7/9. Both pastors are excited to preach their perspective Sundays. Sources close to Christ Fellowship say that Pastor Dave will be preaching on Acts 2.

As Matt shared at our August Family Meeting last night, we’re excited to welcome Dave Kiehn to Christ Fellowship Northgate this Sunday! Dave is a faithful pastor in the Pillar Network https://thepillarnetwork.com/ and a great friend of our church, and we’re thankful he’ll be preaching this Sunday.

While Dave is preaching here, Matt will be in Rock Hill preaching at Dave’s church, Park Baptist Church.
