Just had a moment of inspiration. With bible study being online it is hard to have interaction.
But I had a thought. John the Baptist then Jesus visiting Samaria in John 4:1-42 could bring up a lot of things to consider. For instance, I mentioned an intriguing statement from verse 22,
“You worship what you do not know; we known what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.”
To me, that is an intriguing statement I would like to know more about. But there are many other things a person might want to know about in that whole visit to Samaria.
So If you would like to, read through that passage and in the messenger section. Leave something for me, like
“this verse or this section of verses I am really interested in and would like to know more about that.”
In essence that is really how one does bible study anyway.
And if you wouldn’t mind, I do my study in the New King James. With so many different translations of the bible today I believe it leads to way to much confusion.
Also if you could have your questions on messenger before Tuesday would be helpful. I am not one of these who waits till the last minute to throw things together.
I think from now on, if we do this, it can make bible study more interactive.
People all have different perspectives. Variety is the spice of life as they say.
Blessings everyone!!
Let amend this, you don’t need to go out and purchase a,”New King James bible.”
Unless you want to. You can use whatever bible you want to, although I will restate the question using,”New King James.”
Also there are plenty of online bibles that include about every version. Here is a link to bible.com that has a free online Bible in many versions. There is also a free Bible app in iphones app store or androids apps., called You Version. And it also has an audio link so you can listen.
