I hear of so many harming themselves. And worse - committing su***de.
I have several times preached a sermon that so many people today still need to hear. The book of Revelation 4:11.
Almost every new translation of the Bible says,”For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.” Well of course people were created by his will. (I am not a King James only person however the King James version captures the beauty of what is really meant here.) “And for Thy pleasure they are and were created.”
Pleasure, like the Lord’s play thing?? My no, the Lord created everyone for His pleasure in the sense that every human is His greatest masterpiece. People think the great works of the masters, like the master artists, the masters that wrote great symphonies, the masters that wrote great choral music, the masters who have hewn out of stone great sculptures, these human made things are all priceless. But they are just things. Many of these so called masterpieces are guarded with security beyond belief.
But the Lord says,” Humans, you are My greatest masterpieces.
If you think you are not, then why would the Lord give His only begotten Son for you!
Sculptures are rock, gem stones in the crowns of royalty are just highly polished and carefully cut rocks. Paintings are a pallet of minerals, organic and inorganic pigments that are synthetic, and they have to have a stabilizer mainly linseed oil. And these colors are put on a canvas. Symphonies and great choral pieces are just a bunch of dots on a piece of paper. These masterpieces only have value because some people say they have value. But all of these masterpieces have no life.
On the other hand the Lord gave you life. You are living. You can think and dream. You can feel. You can make small or big decisions. You continue to make life one generation after another. Do you see your value? Don’t let other people determine your value. The Lord has determined your value.
I know so many people that need to hear the words,”You are the Lord’s greatest masterpiece.” You are the true priceless treasure!
