This October Pastor Sakias had the honor of hosting a crusade for Aika Tribe in Papua New Guinea! It was a week long crusade that included not only the local Papua New Guinea Bible church, but also included 7 surrounding churches in the tribe, totaling in around 2000 people a day! God came in a mighty way and touched the lives of many tribes people!

A lot of young people repented and gave their lives to Christ, the most amazing thing that happened was the Community leaders saw the need of Salvation and how important it is to have Christ as the center of their Tribe.

Introducing the Dopen family. We are Sakias, Rebekah, Sadie and Lanitta Dopen. We are blessed and truly honored that God has chosen us to be able to mission to the Aika Tribe in Papua New Guinea. A little history about our little family, Sakias moved to America in 2013 and through many years he was able to receive his associates degree in biblical studies and his bachelors degree in pastoral ministry. In the summer of 2021 He and I met at a local church camp and hit it right off. It was not long until I said “I Do” in October of 2021 and we got married in December of 2021! Yes, quick we know!! We had our first Daughter Sadie Jean Dopen in August of 2022, and our Second Daughter September of 2023! All through those yeas we have been serving at Heritage Bible Church in many different roles. I have been attending Heritage Bible Church for around 14 years and Sakias started attending when we started dating. All through those years I assisted in all of the different children’s ministry and for the last nine years, I was the lead teen youth pastor. Since Sakias started he has been filling in as the Assistant Pastor. We have been extremely blessed to have such an amazing and supportive church family, and through all the ups and downs of life our pastor and his wife Matt Metz and Emily Metz have been by our sides through it all! Even though we have been heavily involved in our church through the years, we still had a burden to be able to minister to Sakias Homeland and his tribe! Well, by the grace of God this October, Sakias was able to go home for the first time in 11 years, and to be able to hold a crusade while he was there. We have truly been blessed by God to be able to start this mission. There will be more post coming soon about the Crusade!
