We filled the room (and our hearts) today with so much vulnerability, truth, and grace. 🕊️

🙏🏾Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Holding Pain, Holding Hope podcast discussion.

We are incredibly grateful for the honest conversations around mental health, trauma, and spiritual healing, and for the powerful questions shared by our congregation during the Q&A.

💚Remember: you don’t have to navigate your triggers or walk the road to healing alone. We are in this together.

What do you do when your emotional tank hits absolute zero? Even the strongest people experience moments of deep exhaustion, anxiety, and depression. In this clip, we follow the prophet Elijah into the wilderness in 1 Kings 19 to discover God's gentle, restorative pathway back to emotional health.

Fresh off a massive spiritual victory, Elijah suddenly finds himself running for his life, completely overwhelmed and praying to die. He was isolated, physically spent, and emotionally broken. If you have ever felt like throwing in the towel, Elijah's story proves that your brokenness does not disqualify you from God's love.

In this message, "Pathways to Emotional Health," we look at how God responds to Elijah’s lowest moment. God doesn't lecture him or shame him. Instead, He provides physical nourishment, safe rest, and a gentle, whispering voice. Discover how God meets us in our valleys and provides a practical, divine blueprint for healing our minds and spirits when we are completely burned out.

What You’ll Learn In This Video:

Why emotional crashes often happen right after our greatest victories.

The physical and spiritual steps God uses to restore a broken spirit.

How to tune out the noise of your anxiety to hear God’s "gentle whisper."

Part 3 of the Faith and Mental Health Sermon Series went down yesterday!!

Stress is real… but so is God.

We reflected on Exodus 18:14–26 and the story of Moses carrying too much for too long. Jethro reminded him that burnout was not God’s plan and that healing sometimes begins with sharing the load, setting boundaries, and listening to wisdom.

Key reminders from the message:
• We need people in our lives who love us enough to interrupt unhealthy patterns.
•Sometimes the stress we carry comes from the expectations we place on ourselves.
• Relief begins when we listen, rest, simplify, and trust God

This week’s challenge:
Identify ONE takeaway from the sermon that you will apply to your life this week.

Maybe it’s resting.
Maybe it’s asking for help.
Maybe it’s setting boundaries without guilt.
Maybe it’s trusting God more deeply in the middle of your stress.

Comment below with ONE takeaway for the week.

Today, we join together in celebrating a truly beautiful milestone—the wedding anniversary of our dedicated pastor, Rev. Dr. Phanta Lansden, and her extremely supportive husband, Mr. Sean Lansden!

A great marriage requires both love and a shared vision, and these two embody that truth every single day. Dr. Lansden, your tireless dedication, grace, and spiritual leadership lift our entire community. Mr. Sean, your steady strength, unwavering support, and constant encouragement behind the scenes form the beautiful foundation that allows that leadership to shine so brightly.

Together, you are a powerful example of what it means to walk hand-in-hand in faith, devotion, and unconditional love. Your partnership doesn't just bless your household—it radiates outward and blesses everyone around you.

Please join us in wishing Rev. Dr. Phanta Lansden and Mr. Sean Lansden a magnificent and blessed anniversary! May God continue to strengthen your bond, multiply your joy, and favor your journey together for many more years to come. ✨🥂

Have you ever felt emotionally tired… but kept pushing anyway?

In 1 Kings 19, Elijah reached a moment of exhaustion, fear, and overwhelm. And instead of condemnation, God responded with compassion.

God provided rest.
God provided nourishment.
God provided presence.

This month, our church family is exploring what it means to care for the whole person through faith, mental wellness, prayer, conversation, and community support.

Join us this Sunday as we continue our Faith & Mental Health series and remind one another that healing is holy too.

Whether you need encouragement, peace, connection, or simply a place to breathe — there is room for you here.

Invite someone to worship with you this week. You never know who may need this message.
