God loves all people, and Jesus died for everyone without exception, showing that God does not show favoritism.

The Bible teaches that Christ's sacrifice is offered to all people: "And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world" (1 John 2:2).

Likewise, God "desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:4). God's heart is for all humanity and His desire is that everyone receives the gift of salvation.

Why do we need salvation?

Because we have all sinned and fallen short of God's perfect standard. Sin separates us from God and leaves us unable to save ourselves.

Yet in His great love and mercy, God sent His Son, Jesus, to take our place and pay the penalty for our sins.

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
‭‭(Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬)

Through Jesus' death and resurrection, a way was made for us to be forgiven, restored, and brought into a right relationship with God.

Scripture also declares, "For there is no partiality with God" (Romans 2:11). Every person stands on equal ground before Him, regardless of background, nationality, or status.

The invitation of the gospel is therefore open to all.

As it is written, "For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13).

Today, that invitation remains open.

In Christ there is no partiality. His death and resurrection provide the way of salvation for everyone who believes.

If you have not yet trusted in Him you can accept God's free gift of salvation by repenting of your sins and placing your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

His grace is available to all who come to Him in faith.

When God calls you His child, no past failure, human opinion, or earthly label has the final say.

In Acts 11, the followers of Jesus were first called Christians in Antioch (Acts 11:26). Their identity was no longer primarily based on their background, nationality, or past. They were known by their connection to Christ.

That truth is echoed in the message of a worship song we sang Sunday - Who You Say I Am. The song repeats that our worth and identity come from God - not from our failures, fears, achievements, or the labels others place on us.

Acts 11 also shows God expanding His family to include Gentiles. When some questioned what God was doing, Peter testified that God Himself had welcomed them. The church learned an important lesson: if God calls someone His own, no one else has the authority to define them differently.

The same is true for us today.

The world may try to define us by our mistakes, our past, or our limitations. But God defines us by His grace. Through Christ, we are forgiven, loved, accepted, and called into His family.

In Sunday’s sermon "Gospel Impact" from Acts 11, Pastor Kevin taught that the Gospel transforms lives by reaching all people, crossing every boundary, encouraging faithfulness, shaping our identity in Christ, and inspiring generosity toward others.

1. The Gospel is universal, reaching people of every nation, background, and walk of life through the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

2. The Gospel is boundless, crossing cultural, social, and geographical barriers and accomplishing God's purposes.

3. The Gospel encourages faithfulness, strengthening believers to remain devoted to the Lord through every season of life.

4. The Gospel defines us, giving us a new identity in Christ that shapes our character, priorities, and relationships.

5. The Gospel moves us to generosity, motivating us to care for others, meet needs, and participate in God's work.

Are we willing to follow God's leading when it challenges our assumptions, preferences, or sense of comfort?

In Acts 11, Peter had every reason, according to his upbringing and tradition, to resist what God was doing among the Gentiles. Yet he testified, “The Spirit told me to go with them, doubting nothing” (Acts 11:12). Obedience required him to trust God's voice more than his own understanding.

The believers in Jerusalem were also forced to examine their hearts. Would they cling to familiar expectations, or would they rejoice that God's grace was reaching people they never expected?

That same question still presses on us today.

Have we allowed personal opinions, past experiences, or spiritual pride to create limits where God has placed none? When God moves in ways that stretch us, faith requires surrender, humility, and a willingness to follow Him wherever He leads.

For those searching, Acts 11 reveals a God who actively pursues people and opens the door of salvation wider than human boundaries. When the believers heard what God had done, they responded, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life” (Acts 11:18). God is not distant or reluctant. He is graciously drawing people to Himself through Jesus Christ.

When Peter testified to God's work, skepticism gave way to praise. Mature faith is not only remembering what God has done, but also recognizing and embracing what He is doing today.

As Barnabas encouraged the believers in Antioch to “with purpose of heart... continue with the Lord” (Acts 11:23), so we are called to remain steadfast in our devotion to Christ, regardless of changing circumstances or challenges.

Following the Lord requires humility to receive His correction, obedience to follow His direction, and courage to trust Him when the path ahead is uncertain. A purposeful heart does not drift with culture, emotions, or convenience. It is firmly committed to Christ, seeking to honor Him daily and faithfully continue in the grace He has provided.

Growth often begins where comfort ends, and every step of faithful surrender opens the door to a deeper experience of God's grace and power. Will you trust God's leading, even when it takes you beyond what is familiar and comfortable?
