Hazardous Weather Update - June 11, 2026
🌡️ Dangerous heat is forecast Thursday and Friday. A Heat Advisory is in place for portions of central NC from 11AM to 8PM tonight.

⛈️ Severe thunderstorms are possible in northern areas on Thursday before spreading across western and central NC on Friday.

🏠 Limit outdoor exposure and stay indoors if possible.
🥤 Drink plenty of water.
👕 Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing.

They served us with grace, patience, kindness, the right attitude, joy and most of all love. Well Done Greater Bethel and all of you who helped make this conference a blessing in the Kingdom!!!

Look what God is doing in the Second!
Following the move of the Holy Spirit at the North Carolina Annual Conference, Bishop Harry L. Seawright continues to lead with vision and excellence by appointing new leadership.

We are overjoyed to announce the appointment of the Rev. Theresa McLean Holmes as the Presiding Elder of the Southern District of the North Carolina Annual Conference.

Rev. Holmes steps into this vital mantle of leadership following the distinguished tenure of Presiding Elder Evelyn G. Dunn. We honor Elder Dunn for her historic service as the first female Presiding Elder appointed in the Second Episcopal District and for her steadfast dedication as Senior Elder.
