The walk to the podium is so misleading when you compare it to the walk to the person sleeping on the pavement outside of the grocery store. Once you reach the podium you can grab a number of church phrases like “ I was glad when they said unto me “ or “God is good” or does anybody love Jesus and get a finished phrase or a round of applause, but on the way to the lady crying on the bus bench what I need to say can come from a list of church jargon, it has to come from the Spirit of God. The primary writings of Jesus and his disciples in the book of acts were not written of men who stood in church halls homelitically telling the stories of other men. It was written about men who walked out of the comfort of their homes and communities to release the power of God into broken people.
