MONDAY MOMENT
Lord, thank You for inviting us to “come away” and rest a while and grant us the courage to leave the crowds and noise behind to that we may be refreshed in Your presence.

Scripture:
“And he said to them. ‘Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.’ For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.” Mark 6:31

Reflection:
Jesus recognizes when we are overwhelmed and explicitly calls us to pull away to preserve our well-being.

Engagement:
• Journey through the week with the Stewardship of Leisure calendar inserted in the May 29th-30th bulletin or pick up a copy at the Parish Office.
• Make the most of your summer with the “Kingdom of Happiness: Living the Beatitudes in Everyday Life” scripture study

Remember those cute sandals you loved, but just don’t wear anymore? They are in your closet begging to be donated.

If the shoe does not fit, donate it! Your shoes could be someone’s Cinderella (Cinderella) moment! Put someone else in your shoes!

Shoe drive ends June 21st. Proceeds support our youth ministry.

STEWARDSHIP OF FAITH
Monday Moment
Faithful God, strengthen my faith when I feel uncertain or afraid. Help me to rely on your presence and promises. Amen.

Scripture
Luke 1:37 “For nothing will be impossible with God”

Reflection
Some days life can feel so heavy. This verse suggests when things feel hopeless…..we are invited to be open to the possibility that with God it can also be the starting point of a miracle.

Engagement
* This week’s bulletin includes a Stewardship of Leisure Calendar. Display it – Color it – Sticker it and enjoy the gift of each day as we enter into the summer.
* June 1st National Eucharistic Pilgrimage: "One Nation Under God". Participate in the Eucharistic Procession, attend Mass and Adoration and stay for the free movie showing of Cabrini

Coming in June, our Living the Gift journey turns to Stewardship of Leisure. We’ll reflect on how rest, joy and simple moments are gifts from God meant to renew our hearts. Join us as we learn to receive and enjoy these moments of gratitude.

It is with great joy and gratitude, we share the news that we will welcome a newly ordained priest, Father Maximilian Frei, as a Parochial Vicar of St. Pius X beginning July 1.

Father Frei will serve alongside and under the mentorship of Father Cook, assisting in the pastoral, sacramental, and spiritual life of our parish community. We are honored to accompany him in these early days of ministry and to benefit from his priestly vocation. He will bring a fresh enthusiasm, dedication, and unique spiritual gifts to share with our parish.

We are grateful to the Diocese for this assignment and we look forward to supporting Father Frei as he begins his priestly ministry here at St. Pius X.

Please join us in praying for him as he prepares to celebrate and his arrival in our parish family.

STEWARDSHIP OF FAITH
Monday Moment
Holy Spirit, Fill us with your spirit and remind us that our faith can help us overcome all trials that come our way. Amen

Scripture
Matthew 17:20 "Amen, I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here to there" and it will move.

Reflection
This reminds us that even a speck of real faith carries immense power. Identify one struggle in your life and instead of focusing on the size of the struggle focus on the unlimited power of God.

Engagement
• Remember to tap into the gift we are given from the Holy Spirit – Piety, Understanding, Fortitude, Fear of the Lord, Wisdom, Counsel and Knowledge. Here is an acronym to remember them PUFFWCK

• Think of ways to use your gifts. If you are unsure what additional gifts you possess – use the questionnaire available at the office to discern your gift or plan to attend the Strength Finders in the Fall.

• Be a Friend…Bring a Friend to Mass
