Learn about and experience the benefits of meditation and mindfulness on the mind and body.

Sessions will begin with a brief discussion of the modalities of meditation, mindfulness, and Reiki along with their impact on the body and value in stress management. Through a combination of self hand placements and group Reiki flow, participants are guided through a 20-30 minute meditative state. Periodic takeaways will include tips and tools to enhance personal practices. 🧘

Rev. Johns is an ordained interfaith and interspiritual minister whose background includes New Thought, Unity, Baptist, and AME traditions. A former Human Resources executive, transformational leader, and proud U.S. Army veteran, she brings a powerful message of spiritual connection, sacred service, and conscious growth.

We will also enjoy music from Nick Boulet, a singer-songwriter, contra dancer, therapist, and fellow explorer of life and spirituality.

Join Unity in Greensboro at 2315 Scalesvilled Road Summerfield NC for Unity World Day of Prayer, September 9–10, 2026. This year’s theme is “Love Is Alive.”

Together, we’ll share food, music, prayer, reflection, candlelight, Enneagram activities, a labyrinth walk, drumming, and a 24-hour prayer vigil for peace, healing, and people throughout the world.

Our affirmation:

“Love leads me. Faith steadies me. Prayer carries me forward.”

This Sunday August 30 Rev. Miranda Koberg will be our guest minister. A little information about Miranda: Rev. Miranda Koberg, CSE serves as the minister for international young adult ministry, Next Generation of Unity. She graduated from Elon University with a B.A. in Religious Studies in 2017, where she founded the Ripple Conference, and was ordained through Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute in 2024. With passions for youth and young adult empowerment, pop culture, and spiritual action, Miranda focuses on teaching others to build multigenerational third spaces that emphasize community action.
