The Women’s Giving Circle has been out in the community learning more about the incredible work being done right here in Greensboro!
Recently, members had the opportunity to visit BackPack Beginnings, The Kellin Foundation, and Women of the Shoah and learn more about the important ways each organization serves and strengthens our community.
BackPack Beginnings helps children and families access essential resources, including food, clothing, diapers, hygiene products, school supplies, and other basic necessities.
The Kellin Foundation provides trauma-informed support and behavioral health services for children, families, and adults, including counseling, advocacy, peer support, and connections to community resources.
Women of the Shoah advances Holocaust education through public art, educational programming, and student experiences centered around Greensboro’s Holocaust memorial, She Wouldn’t Take Off Her Boots. Its programs help students learn about the Holocaust while exploring the importance of confronting antisemitism and hate.
These site visits gave Women’s Giving Circle members the chance to see this important work firsthand, meet the people behind these organizations, and learn more about the impact they are making throughout our community.
