GOD'S PEACE IS GREATER THAN EVERY STORM YOU FACE 🙏🏽

Life has a way of bringing storms we never expected, sickness, financial difficulties, broken relationships, disappointment, grief, family problems, uncertainty, and situations we simply do not know how to fix. But here's what we must remember: God's peace is greater than every storm we face.

Prayer gives us a place to take what is too heavy for us to carry. We don't have to have the perfect words, pray in a certain tone, or spend hours trying to impress God with how well we can pray.

Prayer is simply communication with our Heavenly Father, and He wants us to come to Him with a sincere heart. Tell Him when you're afraid. Tell Him when you're hurting. Tell Him when you don't understand. Tell Him when you're grateful. Tell Him when you need direction. Talk to Him! God desires relationship with us, not only when life is falling apart, but every single day.

And sometimes, when we pray, God doesn't immediately remove the storm; instead, He gives us something powerful enough to carry us through it, His peace. Philippians 4:7 tells us about “the peace of God, which passeth all understanding.” That's the kind of peace that doesn't make sense according to your circumstances. Everything around you may say you should be worried, afraid, or falling apart, yet something inside of you says, “God has me.” So pray about it, trust Him with it, and then leave it in His hands.

Stop picking back up what you have already placed on the altar. God can handle it far better than you ever could. The storm may be great, but your God is GREATER!

PRAYER GIVES YOU PEACE 🙏🏽💜

Prayer provides peace in every area of our lives. Whether we are happy, sad, hurting, experiencing sickness, dealing with broken relationships, facing financial hardship, or simply trying to make it through another day, there is never a time when prayer is not appropriate.

Scripture teaches us that we “ought always to pray, and not to faint” (Luke 18:1). Prayer does not have to be long, drawn out, spoken in a certain tone, or offered from a particular place. Prayer is communication between us and our Heavenly Father. God is not waiting for perfectly arranged words. He desires a sincere heart. You can talk to Him about anything because nothing concerning you is too great or too small for Him.

Prayer draws us closer to God and allows us to experience Him in ways we never could from a distance. And remember, God doesn't only want to hear from us when trouble comes! He desires relationship with us in the good times, the difficult times, and the ordinary moments in between. We were created to commune with Him, trust Him, seek His face, and depend upon Him with every fiber of our being.

Do we truly realize how powerful and majestic our God is? He specializes in what looks impossible to us! Stay in that posture of prayer. Keep seeking Him. Keep talking to Him. Keep trusting Him. And when you take your burdens to God in prayer, leave them there! Stop picking back up what you asked Him to handle. He can work it out far better than we ever could. Make time to pray and commune with your Father every day. Seek His face, trust His heart, and in time, you will begin to recognize His hands at work in your life. Prayer may not always immediately change the situation around you, but it can give you the peace to walk through it while trusting the One who holds it all. Stay prayerful! 🙏🏽

Our Part, God's Part

Philippians 2:12&13 and 3:12-16

We cannot get into heaven on good works alone or how well we perform down here on earth. Remember, we are saved by grace, but we also have to do our part in living a righteous life!

God calls us to be holy, separated from the world, and set apart for Him! Let us continue to seek to obey Him and please Him in all of our ways and actions. He will enable us to do so. He shows us when we go astray and He gives us strength to resists the temptations of this world.

Generous Giving

Deuteronomy 14:23-29

Do not turn away those that are in need. You are blessed to be a blessing! Our responsibility is to give to those who are less fortunate than we are. It is part of the great commission.

We must trust God enough that when we willingly give to others, he will bless us even the more. But also in doing this, we must remember to lean on God for wisdom and dicernment!
