MIDWEEK MOTIVATION

Do you remember when people would send postcards from their trips? It was exciting to have one come from a far away place. Some people still do this, moreover, we get pictures sent to our phones. People share their trips/lives in social media.

The reason I’m sharing this is because our lives are more like a postcard than social media. Social media floods us with so much it’s hard to comprehend. Where as, a postcard is a singular focus of what we are and who we are.

Take it a little further, in our lives people experience us in a postcard setting so much more than in a social media setting. Most of our lives are spent in small group, intimate conversations and life moments - a living postcard.

Going even further, as a Christian we are God’s postcard. We are the witness of Christ people see and experience.

We are God’s postcard in the world!

MIDWEEK MOTIVATION

Matthew 17.20: He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you”. ESV

Jesus had just healed a boy with epilepsy. The father begged Jesus because he had asked the disciples to heal him and they couldn’t. The disciples asked Jesus why they had failed. Matthew 17.20 was His response.

It is not how big or large your faith. It is about the power of God in one’s life because genuine faith has great power!

MIDWEEK MOTIVATION

Once again, school is starting everywhere!

Watch out for the school buses, as well as, children walking to class.

Moreover, let us be motivated to
1. Pray for our students, teachers, and staff.

2. Encourage any and all we have contact with or influence upon.

3. Be a good example of Christ’s love to them, as well.

A little time and effort always makes a difference, especially in the eyes of a child.
