Join other women for this inspiring one-day event with Priscilla Shirer. The event begins at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time and continues until 5:00 p.m. The event contains three teaching sessions featuring Priscilla Shirer and worship with Anthony Evans. Today our Kenya team spends the day in Nairobi celebrating and resting from an intense experience before traveling home beginning late tonight. Tomorrow, the team will arrive home in Raleigh around 1:45pm. Thank you all for your prayers as these folks have traveled to work alongside our partners in Kenya and as they've represented GCUMC and the love of Christ so well.

Today's Team Member Spotlight: Meredith Groce!
Meredith answers the question "Why does this mission to Kenya matter right now?" She writes:
"I believe that more than ever, the world needs to see people coming together as children of God. We need to continue to reach across borders, language barriers, and cultural differences to truly love all unto the ends of the earth."

Our Kenya mission team have been away since June 28th. Today they begin their journey homeward as they spend the day traveling to Nairobi.

Grey says: "Currently, in our country- a country I love very much - fear of what may seem different is being used to incite hatred and injustice. I believe this mission trip matters right now (and always), because we should learn about, and celebrate, cultures different from our own. Today's Team Member Spotlight: Pastor Jeremy!
I am returning to Kenya because I believe God has called me to.
From the perspective of the Kingdom,
I believe our Kenya partnership is one of the most important ministries that we are engaged in as a church.
Our support of God’s people in Kinanduba and Maua is having a life-changing impact on them, and on us –
especially as we are reminded that “to whom much is given, much is asked,”
and that we are all part of one equal worldwide family inChrist.
Together, we are instruments through whom God is making the desert bloom.
