Alleluia! Christ is Risen! May you be filled to overflowing with rejoicing as we witness the power of life overcoming death!

If you don't have a place to worship this morning, we hope you will join us!
Sunrise worship at 7am at Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian (6500 Liberty Rd) - It looks like the rain will hold off for us, so we will plan to worship outdoors, but if a stray shower pops up and we need to pivot, we will be just around the corner at Julian UMC (2105 NC-62E, Julian). Bring a lawn chair if you have one.

Breakfast after the sunrise service at Julian UMC (2105 NC-62E)

Easter worship at 10:30 at Moriah UMC (3611 Liberty Rd, Greensboro).

Don't forget, if you have flowers to add to our flower cross, you can add those to our crosses at either location!

The power of Resurrection is good news for all of us. Whoever you are, whatever your background, you have a place here, so join us!

“O sacred Head, now wounded, with grief and shame weighed down, Now scornfully surrounded with thorns, thine only crown: how pale thou art with anguish, with sore abuse and scorn! How does that visage languish which once was bright as morn!”

On this Holy Saturday, amid the preparations for Easter celebrations and all of the noise of daily life, may you find space to rest in the emptiness and grief of our Lord laid in the tomb.

And then make plans to join us Easter Sunday, for we know the cross is not the end of the story. Sunrise at 7am at Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian (if it’s raining we’ll be just around the corner at Julian UMC, but doesn’t look like we’ll be able to make that call until Sunday morning), breakfast at Julian UMC, 10:30 worship at Moriah UMC.

Join us on this Maundy Thursday as we remember Jesus' last meal with his disciples before his crucifixion.

Tonight is the longest night of the year - just a few days before Christmas in the midst of a season full of jolly and cheer. Sometimes, though, this season also brings pain and heartache. Join us for a few minutes of space to name the grief of the season and find hope in the midst of darkness.

A fun day at Greensboro Pride! Thanks to all of the United Methodists from churches and campus ministries across our district who came out to support our community, and to the many folks who stopped by to enjoy a Capri Sun, have a chat, and co-create this piece of art. You Are Beloved!

Build an Advent Wreath for Your Home!
12/2 | 5-7pm | Julian UMC - Keep reading to learn more!

The season of Advent is upon us. During this season of Advent, we are preparing our homes and spaces, as well as our hearts and lives, for the coming of Christ. This is a season of hopeful anticipation as we wait for Emmanuel - God with us.

One of the primary symbols we use to mark our growing hope during Advent is the Advent wreath. Traditionally circular to represent God's infinite love, the wreath lays flat with evergreen representing the hope of eternal life through Jesus. Evenly spaced around the wreath are 4 candles - one for each week of Advent - representing themes of hope, peace, joy, and love. Often, a fifth, white, candle is added to the center: the Christ candle which is lit on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day

We want you to bring this practice into your home. Join us Monday, December 2nd from 5-7pm at Julian UMC (2105 NC-62), where we will have supplies available to build an advent wreath (or refresh one from last year if you have some of the parts) to use at home this Advent season.

As the light grows each week with the lighting of an additional candle, may your hope grow ever stronger in the Creating, Redeeming, and Sustaining God.

[If you have evergreen in your yard that you would like to trim and share, we would love to have it!]
