At almost 100 years old, Orient resident Bee Lalli still drives, cooks for herself and greets each day with gratitude. The Swedish immigrant fell in love with the North Fork more than 70 years ago and has spent a lifetime giving back to the community she calls paradise.

Instead of gifts for her milestone birthday, she has one wish: a Christmas tree with lights for her beloved church in Greenport.
