BREAKING: Abdul El-Sayed draws over 1,000 supporters deep in Trump country
Abdul El-Sayed just walked into a county Donald Trump carried by 34 points and was greeted by more than 1,000 supporters, a scene that should have every Republican strategist in Michigan paying very close attention.
This was not Ann Arbor. This was not Detroit. This was the kind of place national Democrats have written off for a decade, the kind of place where conventional wisdom says a progressive doctor running on Medicare for All and taxing the rich does not stand a chance.
The crowd said otherwise.
