Pentecost marks the ‘birthday’ of the Church.

Seven weeks after celebrating Jesus’ resurrection at Easter, we remember a particular gathering of his followers.

Extraordinary things happened – strong winds, bright flames and the ability to speak in languages they’d never spoken before! They were filled with the Holy Spirit, God’s presence with us.

This moment changed everything. Empowered in new ways, they shared the story of Jesus with others and thousands of people made the decision to join them.

They shared together and helped people in need as part of a loving community. What started that day became what we know today as church.

Today, Christians around the world celebrate the moment the Church began. Happy birthday!

Last night we had a blessed time honoring those who support the mission we do daily, by helping us continue to serve our community. We had our annual dinner at Terrazza’s, as always it was a beautiful time filled with love, respect & unity. We are endlessly thankful for all who attended, supported financially & those we honored.
