Muslim Women's Coalition This is done through presentations, workshops, seminars, panel discussions and other forums.

Founded in 1994, the Muslim Women’s Coalition (MWC) is dedicated to building an equitable and inclusive Wisconsin, where diversity is celebrated and all individuals are valued. MWC addresses a wide range of groups including schools, universities, businesses, law enforcement agencies, healthcare centers, religious establishments, community organizations and the media. In addition, the MWC provides

resources and educational materials to groups that seek information and tools to promote understanding. Over the years, MWC’s work expanded to include leadership, healthcare, and job training programs for women and girls. This was in recognition of the fact that empowered, healthy women, that are economically secure, strengthen their families, communities and country.

On August 29, we gathered for an afternoon of education, reflection, and healing as we explored moral injury, survivor’s guilt, and collective grief within diaspora communities.

Together, we created space to acknowledge the weight of witnessing suffering from afar, the feelings of helplessness that can come with it, and the ways these experiences shape us both individually and collectively.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Munther Barakat, Shannon Johnson, and Dr. Duaa Kheirieh for sharing their knowledge, compassion, and guidance—and to everyone who showed up with openness and vulnerability.

From curious kids to little gardeners! 🧑🏽‍🌾💚

What a summer! Our Youth Environmental Camp was full of learning, getting our hands dirty, and discovering just how much goes into caring for a garden. 🌻

This summer, our young environmentalists learned the basics of gardening and plant care, explored the science of soil, practiced water conservation, learned how to identify and manage invasive species, and discovered the importance of healthy ecosystems. 💧🌿

And now? They’re officially gardeners! 🪴
We’re so proud of everything they learned, grew, and accomplished this summer. We are even more excited to see how they carry these skills forward. 🌎💚
