For those of you who are following this page, we are still the same church family, but are now moved and located in Greenfield Indiana with the name of North Street Independent Baptist Church. The location has been updated on this page but in the process of updated the name here. Soon a new website will be live with more info about our church. Church times on Sunday are: Sunday School at 9:45am, Morning Worship at 10:45am, and evening worship at 5:00pm.

UPDATE: They moved Zippy out of the ICU this past weekend, and onto the step-down unit floor, where she will remain until her surgery. She is experiencing some blood-circulation issues (her heart is struggling to pump blood appropriately enough down to her legs and feet), but other than that, she is doing well. She is also still going through withdrawals from the heavy medications they had her on while she was intubated, but we have been told that that is to be expected. Although we are thrilled that she no longer "requires" the ICU floor, the floor she's on provides significantly less observation, which can be nerve-wracking at times. Also, as a result of the port strike that occurred, the hospital is now experiencing some supply shortages, including some of her machinery needed, as well as her highly specialized formula that she needs. Thankfully, we were able to provide what was needed from home in the meantime. We did receive a date for her surgery today though! If all goes according to plan...October 24th is the day! Please help us pray that she will remain as healthy as she can be between now and then and that all will go according to plan...no more surprises! Until then, we will continue to simply just trust in Him.

UPDATE: Hello everyone! I've not been able to give an update on here as of late. Zipporah is still in the ICU. Thankfully, however, she is currently stable. Unfortunately, her high fevers have returned, are not waning much at all, and they still don't know why. They have gathered some extremely specialized labs and have sent them off for further testing. It will take some time however to get the results back. So for now, we continue to wait and to pray. No updated date has been provided yet for her heart surgery.

UPDATE:
Zipporah had a rough night. They were preparing to intubate her again, but thankfully, were able to get her stable again. The ventilator and crash cart are looming in the hall though, just outside her room, waiting on standby. We were able to get to speak with a new doctor today who was WONDERFUL! We are so thankful the Lord allowed our paths to cross! He was able to offer much wisdom, patience, and situational clarity. They have determined that they are confident that the majority of this is being caused by her heart being in heart failure status (although they do feel she does have some sort of infection as well). Their focus has shifted to trying to help her along until surgery and likely keeping her inpatient until then, rather than trying to get her well enough for home temporarily. They are now mainly waiting and watching for the most appropriate window of time to perform the surgery to give her the best shot at success. The doctor said not to be surprised *when* she ends up back on the ventilator though between now and then, but he is doing all he can in the meantime to try and keep her off of it, but it won't last for a long time. They are doing another blood transfusion today. She's been resting well today so far. Please help us to continue to pray!

This is the 3rd Wednesday night of the month, so we will have ask the pastor tonight in our prayer meeting service. If you have biblical questions come prepared to ask them. See you at 7 pm in the fellowship hall.

UPDATE: Zipporah has been taken off the ventilator once again!! So far, she has been doing well with being back off of it this go around. She's had some slight withdrawal symptoms from the heavy medication they had to have her on while intubated, but they have been minor, and seem to be quickly fading in comparison with last time. She did spike a fever earlier today, but it was lower than the fevers have been before and has since come back down. She is on high-flow oxygen currently, and their goal is to slowly wean her back down to where she was prior to hospital admittance, if she'll let them. We can tell in both her eyes and general behavior that she's still not feeling well, BUT she is doing so much better than she has been doing in quite sometime. I even got the chance to hold her today for the first time in a LONG time. We are so thankful for the improvements she is FINALLY beginning to show!

UPDATE:

SHE'S OFF THE VENTILATOR!!!! 🙌 Thankfully, they were able to extubate Zipporah late last night, and placed her on high-flow oxygen. She was concious and babbling up a storm. Unfortunately, she has still had a high fever consistently since yesterday evening that medicine is not helping to bring down. She experienced a sat-drop earlier today that required them to turn up her high flow level, causing then to have to suspend her feeds. They currently have her "cold-packed" trying to get her fever to break. They've said the first 24 hours following extubation can be touch and go. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.
