Some of the things we hear the most from former youth group members that are now adults is

“Youth group helped me so much in growing my faith and making it my own.”

“Some of my favorite times was in youth group.”

“I miss youth group.”

“I found community/real friends in youth group.”

We’d like to invite any 6th-12th graders that would like to do any of these…or maybe you don’t know Jesus and are curious to find out about Him…you are welcome. We love to share Him and watch you grow in your faith.

Our first meeting of the year will be this Sunday Sept. 13 from 4-6 pm at Greenfield First Baptist Church. Come check us out. Parents you are welcome to come and check us out as well.

We are looking forward to a new year with new members but the same God.

We had the opportunity to recognize our seniors. It seems like yesterday they started with us and are all off to college. We pray that they are strong in the Lord and shine His light to others. God bless you, Libby, Lea, and Alex. You have been a blessing to us all.

What an amazing week getting to serve Jesus by serving others. Gospel Trekkers went to Eagle House and served at local outreaches there including Eagle House itself. There is just such a presence of the Spirit at Eagle House and among the family that runs it. They have become our southern IL family and we love them dearly. Thank you to Jennifer, Alan, Seth, Daniel, Katie, Joellen, Anna, Abraham, and Asher. Your hospitality is that of Jesus.

After work each day we played games at Eagle House together. Technology was limited so that we could spend more time together. Don’t be fooled by Dennis…he’s a master ping pong player and won a few tournaments we had.

Every night we had devotion together led by Dennis. We did a different parable of Jesus each night. It was a great time of discussion and reflection.

We watched our group work hard, grow closer to Jesus and each other. We can’t wait to go back!

We were so excited to see the Holy Spirit move last night at the Chosen Generation event and witness 5 baptisms in the lake including some of our own. May God be praised! He is waking up a generation.

Thank you to everyone that allowed us to Egg Your Yard and get eggs ready for you for Easter. We pray blessings on you all for supporting these kids that are growing in their faith in Jesus.
