Elijah's Harbor Christian Retreat Elijah's harbor is designed to give Christian leaders an opportunity to rest and refocus their minds back to Christ, their family and their mission.

Elijah's Harbor's Director, Dr Mike Schell, has been involved in ministry for 50 years. He first ministered to youth with his family in Suriname South America, and after returning in 1977 to attend Bible College and Seminary, he served as youth pastor and Christian school teacher and HS principal. Since 1992, Mike and Ruth and their family have been missionaries to Pacific Islanders, establishing

multiple ministries and assisting in others. During this time Mike also completed a Doctor of Pastoral Theology degree. The Schells have 8 children. Since the end of February 2023, Mike and Ruth have been hosting church retreats, missionaries, Pastors and Christian families at Elijah's Harbor. They have always enjoyed hosting folks in their home, and now they can do it in grand style in the luxurious Harbor Mansion and surrounding homes. They are excited to provide a place of Ministry R&R: Rest and Relaxation or Restoration and Reconciliation, and are happy to share ministry advice and counsel.

We recently hosted these three sweet couples who used to work together in ministry in Kenya. Since they've been living in the States for a while, they like to stay in touch, and what better place to meet up than here at the Harbor. They had an amazing time and said they'd definitely be back!

What an honor it was for us to host the All Points Baptist Mission's retreat this past week. They come twice a year and are all missionaries', pastors', chaplains', ministry kids and are always so respectful and thankful during their week of revival and renewal. This was our largest group to date (61) but it is always rewarding for us to serve such a worthwhile endeavor.
