"Ben Between Africa"
Please join us for a 90 minute documentary film about the life of Ben Gamber. Ben was the son of Henry & Pearl Gamber, members of Salem Ridge Community Church and missionaries in Ethiopia under Eastern Mennonite Missions in the 1960s and and early 1970s. After graduating from Eastern Mennonite University (then Eastern Mennonite College), Ben returned to Ethiopia serving with the Peace Corps, and suddenly passed away at the age of 25. Many remember Ben, his parents and siblings, Marion, Tim and Jim from their days in our area. Ari Nasser Ali, the author and director of the documentary is Ben's niece.
The showing will be on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Salem Ridge Community Church, 441 Pensinger Rd. Greencastle, PA 17225. Doors open at 6:00pm, and the showtime is at 6:30pm. There will be a question and answer period with the author and director afterwards. A freewill offering will be collected to help with the expenses of this showing.
