I would love to hear some testimonies about the great things God has done for yall

11/10/2023

Just want take the time to give God Glory, He has sent his Son to die for our sins. Jesus is King! he has given us victory over all the battles that the enemy tries to throw our way. We do not have to be victim to depression, sickness, or anxiety among many more vices that hold us in bo***ge. You don't have to feel alone, or that no-one cares, because the creator of this universe cares about you. Satan wants us to give up but God will never leave us or forsake us, he will always be there for you. He will never let us down. Its not about deserving it either, so no need to worry about earning it, because he is our Father and by his mercy and his grace, He is there for us even when we deserve destruction. All we have to do is accept and believe. you have victory. you have family. you have someone who loves you. There is peace and comfort available. God is good.

FINDING FREEDOM

I find myself constantly fighting with my flesh. I have strongholds in my life that I wish would just go away. The fight never seems to end and it feels like I am letting God down every way possible. There is only one hope of victory and that is through Jesus Christ. Doesn't seem like it makes the pain any less, but my hope is in Him

19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Romans 7:19

Paul had the same problem in his life. I think that all of us struggle with strongholds. It can be easy to feel defeated, especially when you try so hard to do and think the right things.

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit Romans 8:1

I have held myself in condemnation many times for personal failures, but Paul gives us encouragement that we don't have to.

We can find victory over these strongholds. In order to do that we must first understand what a stronghold is and how it gets there in the first place. The enemy does not want us to claim out\r victory and walk in continuous defeat because we cannot serve God's purpose when we have given up. It is God's will for us to have joy and peace in our lives. I have spent years trying to figure out how to have the joy and peace in my life that the bible speaks of with no success; why? Because I decided to do things the world's way with the world's way of thinking, no surprise that doesn't work. Many of us find ourselves spinning our wheels, trying to do the right things but finding no success because we keep running into strongholds in our life.

The first and most important key is believing in Christ Jesus. He is the answer for everything we could possibly need. God has given him all power and authority over heaven and earth.

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Matthew 28:18 KJV

Understanding that Freedom is found in Christ, there is no problem too great or too small for Him. He is the truth. It's in truth that overcoming our strongholds becomes possible.

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:36 KJV

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32 KJV

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 KJV

We see in these passages that Christ is the truth, and it is in Him and by Him that we can find freedom. So we now know that the Key factor here is first knowing Christ. If this is not the case for you, please don't hesitate to reach out to us so we can help you get to know him.

The next factor is understanding what a stronghold is, and how it becomes one in our lives in the first place. A stronghold is a fortress, A fortification established in a key location to best defend a territory. Strongholds are built in our minds because the mind is a key location to control the entire body. There is no action that you do that doesn't first come through your mind.

strongholds are lies created by the enemy That we in turn, learn to believe. To have a stronghold in our mind, we must first be deceived. We cannot be deceived until we first believe the lie that we have been given. we know that the lies come from the enemy because the word of God tells us that the enemy is in fact the father of all lies.

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44 KJV

In the scripture above, we see Jesus talking to the Pharisees. Referring to them. As being of their father, who is the Father of lies. The Stronghold. Being for them In this case, religion. Christ refers to Satan as being the father of lies. So as stated above, if Jesus being the truth speaks this, then the lies must come from the enemy. This is key to understanding how strongholds become so prominent in our minds. The enemy gives us a Lie, We then learn to believe it, and once it is believed, it then becomes deception because we are now deceived based on the lie that has been given.

Liar leads to deception. Deception leads to thoughts and feelings, Thoughts and feelings lead to behavior. Our behaviors then become habits, Our habits become cycles., And then our cycles become Bo***ge. And now we have found ourselves with a stronghold to deal with.

Some examples. Of strongholds that we as Christians have a tendency to find ourselves dealing with, are things such as depression, unforgiveness. Confusion. Addiction. All strongholds come from a root lie that leads to the deception in our minds that we learn to believe. All root lies will always contradict God's truth., An example would be for anxiety and fear. Symptoms would include paranoia, worst case scenario, thinking and unable to experience joy. The root line would be to be afraid of punishment, while the truth is in fact God is for you and not against you. Fear always asks what if, while faith always declares, even if. We see examples of faith. In the book of Daniel.

17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. 18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Daniel 3:17-18

We see an example here, of Abendnego, Speaking to King Nebuchadnezzar. The scenario that is playing out is that King Nebuchadnezzar is about to throw three men into the fiery furnace for failing to worship the king. And these three individuals decided that they had greater faith in God than they did the king. And so instead of worshipping the king, they risked their lives to continue to worship God instead of being fearful of the king. They said that even if God did not deliver them, then they would continue to worship God because God is God. They trusted God to deliver them, but they understood. That God who is sovereign, Still deserved glory and honor even if He chose not to. As we read on, we will see that God does in fact deliver them, because God honors faith. They found freedom. From their stronghold. By putting their trust in God.

Strongholds and overcoming them comes down to the simple concept of how we think. So the question then becomes, what do we need to do to overcome the strongholds? If the strongholds are there because of the way we think Then the way to overcome them is to change the way we think. And as always, we find this once again in the Word of God.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

The more you transform your mind to the ways of Christ. You will find yourself feeling and thinking the way Christ did, becoming more like him. Which, to be honest, is in fact the goal of all Christians if you definitely have a relationship with Christ. And much like how a stronghold is built, you start building a stronghold, if you will, that is based in Christ instead of one that is given to you by the enemy. A stronghold built in truth instead of deception. Because the same concept applies. You walk in truth. You feel in truth. Those feelings become actions in truth. And those actions become habitual. And you find yourself Finally walking in that freedom that God has promised.

God is good all the time. It is important to take the time to remember all the things that God has done our lives. As for me, he has always taken care of me through his Grace when i didn't deserve it. He has sustained my family in times of need and despair. Has given me joy in times of sorrow. He has been a family to me when I had none. He has never let me down when I needed him most. The Bible teaches that he will never leave us or forsake us. We find this in Deuteronomy 31:6. It has been true in my life. God is no respecter of persons, meaning what he does for one person, he will do for all who are willing to receive it. We can find this truth in Romans 2:11. I am thankful for all has God has done for me, and furthermore am thankful that you have the opportunity to know God for the loving Father and friend that he is and wants to be in your life. I hope all of you have a good day and know Jesus loves you.

I struggle with failure on a daily basis. It seems the harder we try to do the right thing, the more we tend to mess it up. This seems to apply to dealing with addictions, relationships, and personal affairs.
The feeling of being a failure can be absolutely overwhelming. So where do we find comfort? Where do we find the peace that so many preachers speak about?
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:7 KJV. The word of God tells us to cast all our cares upon him, because he cares for us. Let’s think for a second; We as humans, who are flawed; are asked by our children or loved ones for help, do we not give it? So then why would God who is all powerful and perfect, not give help and comfort when needed?
It has been my experience, that even when I don't deserve it, God always takes care of my needs.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Matthew 6:25‭-‬34 KJV.
We are shown here in the above versus, that if we focus on our relationship with God, that all the things we need will be taken care of. I feel a lot of the time, we tend to overcomplicate what it means to have a relationship with God. To me, whatever I would expect from my wife, such as loyalty, respect, compassion, and all that is implied with being a wife, is how I feel what God expects from us. After all, He does call us the Bride of Christ. I feel that it is important to have sound doctrine, but it must be based in the Word of God. The Wod does not need to be rewritten based on our opinions. The closer you get to him, the more of his opinion and interpretation of his Word becomes clear. That is the purpose of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit provides peace, comfort, and understanding.
In order for this to take place, we have to take the time to get to know him. We would never know what our spouses like, want, or need if we never take the time to get to know them.
When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
Psalm 63:6‭-‬8 KJV.
In the verse above, we see David writing about the amount of time he spent getting to know God. The bible even calls David a man after God’s own heart. He also was the ancestor to Jesus Christ himself. As we spend time with God, we start to understand how much he actually cares about us. Our failures start to fade away, and the love just begins to grow. We start to understand that even when we do fail, God is there to help pick us back up if we will just let him.
God is not some being in the heavens with a lightning bolt waiting to strike you down everytime you mess up. He wants us to grow and become the men and women he created us to be from the get go. He is there to help us grow and change as needed. We don't need to be frustrated with ourselves, we just need to be willing to learn. Willing to allow Him to be in our lives to change what needs to be changed.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:28‭-‬30 KJV

God is good all the time. We have a father that will always take of our needs. we no longer have to be victims, instead He has made us victors. Christ died for our sins and so much more. we no longer have to give in to fear because he has conquered death. the enemy no longer has power over us, the only thing we have to do is not give it to him. We are made in the likeness and image of God, he created the world through the spoken word, so likewise we have the authority to use the spoken word to bring blessings or curses. Lets use that authority to bring encouragement and peace into the broken lives of others. lets speak death over sickness and disease. All things are possible through Christ. His word says that if we ask anything in His name we shall have. We dont have to live in depression and frustration anymore. We have joy through Christ. We can have peace in our lives, situations dont have to have power over us. we can have power over our situations. all we have to do is stand in faith and let God do what he do.

Our God is definitely an awesome God. He is always there for us regardless of circumstance. It is easy to lose focus in a world filled with uncertainty; but with God there is always a hope and a future as stated and Jeremiah 29: 11.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

It is definitely difficult to live in the world that is constantly changing. It can feel like there is no such thing as consistency and stability, which seems to be things that most of us desire. It can feel like you are standing alone with no solid footing. But I can promise you that is in fact not the case. How can I promise that? Because God made a promise that he will never leave you or forsake you.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5 KJV

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
John 14:18 KJV

We can be content knowing that God will always be there for us. You are never alone in your life. No matter how bad or good the situation seems, You have the Alpha and Omega in your corner waiting for you to accept the victory he has already given you.

As Christians we are supposed to represent Christ. We are told not to be conformed to the ways of this world. To be representatives of Christ, we should have the mind of Christ. The bible tells us that it's not what goes into the mouth of a man that contaminates him, but what comes out. The reason is because what comes out of our mouths; comes from the heart. If we have Christ in our hearts then it should be his words coming out of our mouths. It is easy to pass judgment on others and cause condemnation. It is easy to make mistakes because its human nature, right? That is until we realize it's not the human nature we are to succumb to. Its Christ's. The bible says to not walk after the flesh aka human nature; but after the spirit aka His nature. We all have opinions and interpretations of the Word. But it's not our understanding that matters, it's his. The word says to not lean on our own understanding but to lean on His. We can hate the sin, but it is not our job to pass condemnation. Jesus came to this world to not condemn it but to save it. We have the authority to speak the word of God. We do NOT have the authority to say anything God didn't say. Alot of folks will not like this message, but truth is truth. We will all be held accountable for anything we do, especially if it's in Gods name. Good or bad. Gods grace is wonderful when we do make mistakes, but it's our responsibility to know the truth and learn to apply it. God Bless
