Next Step Ministries We are a faith-based transition home. We are mission-minded to help these individuals gain more freedoms and how to properly transition back into the community.

Next Step Ministries is transitional living for men and women who have successfully completed a long term, Christian faith-based drug and/or alcohol rehabilitation. We offer a safe, Christ centered place for them to get back on their feet.

We are so proud of Sabrina!! She came to Next Step owing $10,000 in fines before she could get her license reinstated. After 20 years, she finally has her license back!! Christmas is a big deal around here!! As I think about Jesusā€™ birth and the reason He came to dwell among , I canā€™t help but be in awe that He came and died for me. For my sins, which were many. So many of us, after getting sober, we find it hard to believe that His blood can cover our sins!! But it can, and it does !!!
So this is the Christmas party, played a little dirty Santa, and of course we ate & ate
& ate!!
This is the first Christmas party Iā€™ve missed, but I thought a lot about it as it was happening.
There are several absent from the party, because restoration with friends and families is happening. There are several at the party because in a lot of ways Next Step has become family and it just feels like home. šŸ

This is Teresa!! Teresa is one of the most resilient ladies Iā€™ve ever met! She came to us after successfully completing a faith based 8-10 month program. I remember when she got hereā€¦ with minimal belongings, some relationships that needed a little TLC, and a TON of faith in God to rebuild what the locusts had eaten. Sheā€™s very meek and doesnā€™t say a lot, but when she does sheā€™s giving God the glory for the way He has worked in her life. Teresa has been with us for 2 years. In that two years she has had surgeries, scary diagnoses, and lots of doctors appointments. In all that she has been so trusting that she was in the palm of Godā€™s hand. She is a light to many in the Greenbrier community as she works part time at Harpā€™s grocery store. Did you catch that? Part time. 2 years. Lots of time off for medical issues and still sheā€™s saved enough to buy a very nice vehicle while paying rent to Next Step. We are all beyond proud of you Teresa as you have not only reached this milestone in gaining some independence, but also for celebrating 3 years sober!! God is working in your life!! We see you walking it out with faith, trust, and perseverance and we all look forward to seeing whatā€™s nextšŸ˜‰!!!
