🎉 Promotion Sunday 🎉

Today was a special day as we welcomed our new 1st graders into Kid Life! We are so excited to begin this new adventure with them and watch them grow in their faith and understanding of God's love.

At the same time, it was a little bittersweet as we said goodbye to our amazing 5th graders. We are so proud of the young leaders they have become and are grateful for the joy and energy they brought to Kid Life. While we'll miss seeing them in our rooms each week, we can't wait to see how the Lord continues to work in their lives as they take this next step.

This week we looked at what it means for God to be our Shepherd.

Before David became king, he spent his early years tending sheep learning what it means to lead them to green pastures and quiet waters, to protect them from danger, and to care for every need.

Because of that experience, David understood the kind of care our Good Shepherd gives us. Psalm 23 paints a beautiful picture of how the Lord provides, protects, and leads us through every meadow and every valley.

We are loved beyond measure, and His goodness and mercy follow us all the days of our lives.

This Sunday wraps up our Power of the Spirit series as we dive into the Armor of God in Ephesians 6. Paul reminds us to “be strong in the Lord” and explains how the Holy Spirit equips us to stand firm against the enemy’s tricks.

From the belt of truth to the sword of the Spirit, every piece of God’s armor has a purpose — giving us strength, courage, and confidence to follow Jesus faithfully.

What a blessed weekend with your kids! 💥

In Gods big story we learned how the Holy Spirit gave Peter boldness to speak about Jesus—even when it wasn’t easy. After God used Peter to heal a man, he and John were told to stop talking about Jesus… but they couldn’t! With the Spirit’s help, they chose courage over fear.

We talked about how we can be bold too. sharing Jesus with others and standing strong in our faith no matter what.

This week, we explored the incredible moment the Holy Spirit came at Pentecost, like a rushing wind, with flames like fire, and voices speaking in many languages all at once. The Holy Spirit helped the disciples boldly share Jesus, and many people believed that day.

As a family this week, talk about what it would have been like to be there and ask how the Holy Spirit can help you follow Jesus, love others, and share His story together.
