I’m thankful that the Supreme Court sided with the Constitution over Donald Trump regarding birthright citizenship. Trump and his white Christian nationalist allies use xenophobia and racism to divide Americans for partisan political gain. We must confront such hate, and we must finally reform our broken and dehumanizing immigration system. God’s call to us is clear: ‘Cursed be anyone who deprives an alien, an orphan, or a widow of justice.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ DT. 27:19

Anyone interested in singing with the Greenbelt Combined Choir at the Thanksgiving Eve Interfaith Service is invited to rehearse on Nov. 17 and 24 from 7:30 to 9:00 pm at Greenbelt Community Church, 1 Hillside Rd., Greenbelt. The Thanksgiving Eve service is sponsored by the Greenbelt Interfaith Leadership Association (GILA) and will be held on Wednesday evening, November 26 at a time and location to be announced.
