As I prepare for worship tomorrow, I find myself grateful for what truly matters.

Tomorrow we will celebrate the baptism of a dear lady who has been attending faithfully, reading God’s Word, asking thoughtful questions, and seeking assurance that her hope is truly in Christ.

Over the past year, I have watched her hunger for truth and her desire to know the Lord more deeply. What a joy it is to see God at work in a person’s life.

Moments like these remind us why the church exists. We gather to worship Christ, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, encourage one another, and celebrate God’s grace wherever we see it.

Tomorrow is a day to rejoice together.

“Likewise, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.” Luke 15:10
