Although no one came today, we were here with water and cookies but most of all His presence was in our hearts and hands as we attempted to help our neighbors during this time of excessive heat. We will be back on Thursday from 11-3.

Let us pray for the construction worker, as well as the family members who have lost power and no ac, workers in the fields as well as those stuck in places that have only a fans to circulate the heat. We invite you to join us at Axley’s Chapel United Methodist Church at 27930 Axley Chapel Rd, Greenback, TN, for a time of cooling down and have a cool bottle of water or a cup of coffee and a cookie on Tuesday and Thursday from 11-3 and Friday also if needed. Everyone is invited!

Due to this excessive heat and humidity, Axley’s Chapel United Methodist Church is opening its facilities for anyone to get out the heat. Come and pray or come and have some water, coffee and a cookie in our air conditioned fellowship hall. We will be open on Tuesday and Thursday from 11 to 3.

FAITHFULNESS!



“Be careful not to forget the Lord…” [Deut. 6:12].

I believe that God values faithfulness greater than money, power or fame. He looks at the heart and not at our possessions. He is more concerned about our souls than how often we go to church and how much we give. We will have troubles but He has overcome all our trials. “Be faithful to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life” [Rev. 2:10]. Stay committed, faithful to God, family and church.

Finally, I believe that God wants us to be like Jesus in our faithfulness.
• Jesus prayed – John 17:20-23.
• Jesus went to the Temple on Sabbath or Sunday – Luke 4:16.
• Jesus was concerned about the least – Matt. 25:31-46
• Jesus commanded that we go and tell others – Mark 16:15.
• Jesus said that He is coming back again – Rev. 1:7.

Lord, help me to persevere in my faithfulness to You. Amen.
