This summer, Sharbel is joining the Daycholah Center team as a first-year camp counselor! ☀️

Sharbel is especially looking forward to soccer, swimming, team activities, and all the opportunities camp brings to connect with others and grow as a leader.

As he prepares for his first summer at camp, he shared: “I am excited to meet new people from different cultures, build strong friendships, and develop my communication and leadership skills.”

Sharbel also hopes to gain experience working with children while helping create a positive, safe, and memorable experience for campers.

From outdoor adventures to building community, he’s ready to jump fully into camp life, and we’re excited to have him as part of the Daycholah staff this summer 💙

We’re excited to introduce Maggie, one of the new counselors joining the Daycholah Center summer staff this year! ☀️

Even though this is Maggie’s first summer on staff, Daycholah has already played an important role in her life as a camper.

“Being a camper has given me life-long friends and memories and has made a huge impact on who I am today.”

One of Maggie’s favorite camp activities is Mad Scientist, and her favorite week of camp is Night Owl. Outside of camp, she loves spending summer days at the lake with friends.

As she steps into her new role as a counselor, Maggie says she’s hoping to “have a great summer with all the campers and create a great experience for all of them.”

Fernando — who also goes by Fer — is joining the Daycholah Center summer staff for the first time this year as part of our maintenance support team! ☀️🛠️

While he hasn’t experienced camp yet, he’s already excited for what the summer will bring.

“I truly believe this will be one of the best experiences of my life. I want to challenge myself, learn new things, and create a memory that I will always cherish.”

Fer says one of the things he’s most looking forward to is meeting people from different places and experiencing the good vibes that come from working together as a team.

As part of the behind-the-scenes support staff, he’s excited to help keep camp running smoothly and make sure Daycholah is a great experience for everyone who visits.

Charlotte is returning for her fifth summer on staff at Daycholah Center as a cabin counselor! ☀️🏹

Some of Charlotte’s favorite camp traditions include archery, Tavern Night, and of course… CONNNN 💙

Camp has been a meaningful part of Charlotte’s life both as a camper and counselor. They shared: “As a camper it showed me there were like-minded people in the world, and it was okay to be weird, or a nerd, or simply myself.”

Now as a counselor, Charlotte hopes to help campers feel that same sense of belonging and confidence to fully be themselves.

One of their favorite parts of camp is meeting people from around the world and watching those friendships grow into lasting connections 🩷

We’re so grateful for counselors like Charlotte who help make Daycholah a place where campers can truly belong.

Due to an unexpected international travel issue, we are looking for an awesome male camp counselor to join our summer staff team at Daycholah Center! ☀️🌲🔥

This summer, Sara will be joining the Daycholah Center team as a camp counselor! ☀️

After previously working at a day camp in Utah, Sara is excited to experience the full magic of overnight summer camp life — from time at the lake to living in the middle of nature and fully immersing herself in the camp community.

When asked how camp has impacted her life, Sara shared: “It has shown me the importance of play and how the best way to have a good time is to bring out your inner child.”

Swimming is one of her favorite camp activities, and one of the things she loves most about summer is being surrounded by nature every day.

We’re excited for campers to experience Sara’s joyful spirit and enthusiasm for camp this summer 💙

The new site makes it easier to explore camps, retreats, events, stays, and all three of our beautiful locations: Moon Beach, Daycholah Center, and Cedar Valley.

Remember when summer meant campfires, friendship bracelets, staying up way too late, and making best friends in 24 hours? 🌲🔥

What if you could do it all again… but this time with better snacks, comfy beds, cocktails, and nobody making you do polar plunge at 6am? 😅

Welcome to CAMP REWIND at Daycholah Center, an adults-only summer camp experience where you can relive the magic of camp without the awkward middle school phase. 😎

Spend your days:
🛶 Kayaking on the lake
🧘 Doing sunrise yoga (or pretending you’ll wake up for sunrise yoga)
🎨 Making crafts you absolutely do not need
🔥 Eating elevated “grown-up” s’mores around the campfire
🍹 Taking mixology and cooking classes
💃 Dancing to throwback songs you definitely still know all the words to
🌲 Relaxing, laughing, and feeling like a kid again

Nico is returning to Daycholah Center for his third summer on staff as a counselor! ☀️

One of Nico’s favorite camp activities is archery, but what keeps bringing him back year after year is the people.🏹

When asked about his favorite part of camp and summer, he shared: “All the people I get to know and be with.”

Camp is built on friendships, connection, and community, and counselors like Nico help create that welcoming atmosphere for campers each week.

We’re excited to have Nico back at Daycholah again this summer and know campers will love getting to know him 💙
